Ok, apart from him potentially being a psychologically unstable maniac at the nuclear button, having no clue about foreign politics and matters of government - and being proud of his ignorance -, that he will likely alienate crucial allies due to his complete lack of self-control, his brain-rot level plans to institute a "Muslim ban" in the US and similar things, some of the most dystopian ideas ever if attempted, a lacklustre and chaotic campaign dominated by his rogue diatribes, showing that he doesn't have the organizational skills to lead a government, his inciting hate against large swaths of the population instead of trying to unite the country, what would be so bad about Trump as president?
Have you paid much attention to anything he's done or said before he started rambling on about birth certificates and the such like? Inherit a bunch of money and run a bunch of businesses into the ground?
Quote: I don't agree with everything that he's said in those days, but I doubt he's the xenophobic warmonger image that he's created for himself.
I think that's partly show as well. I don't think he really cares about anything other than himself enough to be as xenophobic as the worst scum out there.
Quote: He's a bit of a nationalist though, saying America's interests should come first, but a lot of people in this country feel that way.
That's American standard fare.
Quote: No clue on how to run a government? That just means he'll have less knowledge on how to fuck anyone over.
I bolded this because it illustrates the mentality of Trump supporters better than I could.
Quote: As for our allies, well, he's said in the past he's pro-Israel, and that oil is the life blood of all economies, so it's obvious that he'd still be an ally to Saudi Arabia and the like, which is disappointing really. Other allies around the world I don't think would isolate themselves from us. Muslim ban, I doubt he'll do that, he's probably just saying that to appeal to the real bigots in the Republican base, same thing with the wall as he's said privately with people that it's just bullshit to get the crowd cheering when they get bored. As for his organizational skills, he knows enough to make a lot of money, and he knows enough to play with the fantasies of stupid people to get supporters.
This has mostly been an attack on his character though, and not on his policies. Do I think maybe he should restrain himself and act professional a little more? Absolutely. But really, look at how well it's worked when he doesn't. The man is a reality TV show host, he knows what gets ratings, and what the public wants to hear. He also knows how the media will react. He gets attention by saying stupid or inflammatory things because he knows the spotlight will be on him for doing so. Is he really stupid, or is he genius? Sounds like he's brilliant at marketing himself to the voter base of the Republican party to me, and nothing more.
Now can anyone give me an argument against his actual policies?
In case he should actually make it, let's all hope that this all was just a facade.

Does he have any policies? That's his entire campaign platform. Present no targets.
I defy you to come up with an actual policy plan of Donald Trumps. I'll wait.

Well, there's this abortion:
https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions/tax-reform
He's mainly promising to give huge tax-cuts to the richest. You know - exactly like Bernie Sanders WASN'T going to do...
If Trump is the next president - I'd recommend not being old, or in other way dependent on Social Security or Medicare, because there's not going to be much money in the budget for such "nonsense". But hey - maybe he'll somehow cut military spending - and I mean down to zero, although even that probably wouldn't cover the loss in tax-revenue.
I honestly believe Trump is going to try and bankrupt USA. After all - he's had a lot of experience in that area...

You mean, when everything is in shambles, he'll nod and say - yeah, yeah, I know this! Where do I declare bankruptcy without losing too much?

Trump has also stated that the top 1% get a tax hike, while people making $25,000 a year, and couples making $50,000 a year pay no taxes. Even more working class friendly than Bernie Sanders, I'd have to add.
Trump said he doesn't want to cut Medicare, but create a thriving economy to where it can be paid for. Though yeah, he wants to privatize Social Security like what they did in Brazil, which isn't that good. I've already stated that I disagree with that though.

LOL... Good luck with that. Just remember to watch out for the giants, once you've climbed up the magic beanstalk all the way to the golden goose...

People always vote for their own interests. Welcome to the human condition, where there is no such thing as selflessness. If you vote based on guilt, then it is in your self interest to not feel guilty. If you vote based on wanting there to be more laws that favor you, then you are voting for your self interest. If you vote because you think it's important that we help people in need, then helping people in need is in your self interest. Usually people that vote for that though are simply wanting something to be there for themselves in case they fall on hard times, or if they're already in hard times.
Don't act like you're better than anyone. We all vote for our own interests.
No, don't presume to know what or why others vote based on your own failings.

I would love to hear how Trump is just going to "create a thriving economy"?

Straight from the handbook, isn't it? That's why I always use the term bigot. Gives less leeway for the rats to wiggle out. The mindset is the same as with racism. And bigotry can be directed against any given group, starting with cyclists and ending with entire peoples.
