I'm having a bit of a crisis with weight now, and I'm just exploring my options.
I've put on a few pounds lately so I joined a gym down the road today and I'm going to each a bunch of vegetables.

Never heard of it. But I do think positive reinforcement and support is always great.

Healthy food choices! And that PT person who tried to kill you won't hurt lol
Also, post your progress, when you start losing weight it will make you feel good and that will be extra motivation.
You can do it

This not directed at you Losty, it's just easier since you already quoted the person.
Best of luck to you on losing weight, I'm glad your trying to do something about it.

Easier said than done, but running a small calorie deficit is the best way to lose weight the right way.
Moderate exercise, cut your calories, eat at the right times. Replace breakfast with a protein shake and a banana. I love strawberry milkshake with whole milk. Skim milk is just sugar water. The milkfat cuts the glycemic index. Use free range ghee or MCT Oil instead of butter when cooking. (Try MCT oil in your coffee---for real its delicious) Eat carbs as little as possible, but when you do, eat them at the right times. (not before periods of rest/sitting at a desk)

When you put oil in your coffee baby Jesus murders a kitten with his bare teeth. Other than that I agree with MCB.

I love ghee. It's sold across my street at Hillcrest Farmer's Market.
MCT oil I don't know much about, but it is apparently essential in a buttered coffee.

Do not knock it till you try it. I am a coffee nut, only the best for me. Bulletproof Coffee is the absolute best way to drink coffee.
