It shouldn't take -longer- with more memory.
Some of your mods are either not up to date or no longer supported.

Does ATlauncher have Tekkit Lite or Tekkit Classic?
(I know for fact 2gigs allocated and an integrated card can run those - just trying to get some benchmarks)
Also, pull up your task manager, what's your usage?
I'm not sure if it has tekkit at all. Now everything is lagging... like every single thing.
It's no longer frozen... it's finishing launching. Ugh. This is what the task manager shows:

Take her back down to 1gig. You're going to have to enable your mods one at a time. Or try again with FTB and 2gigs.
(the beauty of using a modpack that a popular youtuber uses...is that you can have -some- confidence that it;s well supported and up to date)

Of course, I am able to edit the mods. I should try that.
Question is, should I disable them or remove them altogether? It gives me the option for either.

I've been there, sucks, but clearly the modpack has issues if you're looking at a sea of yellow forge errors and red system errors. The yellow is meh, the client can drive over it but it causes glitches and loss of functionality in-game. The red is a non-starter.
To run alot of mods you'll need a decent amount of memory allocated but the more memory allocated (and the more it eats up) the laggier everything else will get. You'll have to find an acceptable compromise between memory, and mods...and that's -after- you isolate which mods will run individually (or inter-dependently, for some of the mods that are likely to be in the pack). This is how modpacks are compiled, initially, by their authors....and they only stay operational as packs for as long as the pack and mod authors -both- support them.
Might also be worthwhile to recheck your video and audio drivers, and that the modpack version you have is correct for the version of minecraft (sometimes the mods are one or two releases behind for stability).

Okay... I'm just going to the link you suggested and try that one then. I'm giving up on ATLauncher. I don't see a reason to get myself frustrated over this.

For a long while, Tekkit was dead, no support (plus there was an issue of the mod owners not asking permission from the mod designers). FTB picked it up and improved on it. Then the Tekkit crew got off their asses and updated some shit...but FTB has -always- been the better mod pack.

Do I need to save this to its own folder under Programs OR
do I need to save this in the Minecraft folder (which is in the Programs folder)

(FTB is a standalone launcher - doesn;t need to be in the MC folder..it'll autoconfigure everything)
I'd suggest using one of the smaller modpacks contained in it when you try it out for the first time, just for the sake of speed.
