University of Colorado (Boulder), Molecular Biology, the meaning of Life explained, (shared by all living creatures).
To survive long enough to perpetuate your species.
If the truth is too much to handle, I herd another interesting explanation in a Philosophy class:
The meaning of life is what ever YOU prescribe to it.
Example: if you are an avid chess player, the meaning of life may be to understand the game of chess.
I kind of like the first explanation. Perils before swine, though. I can gave you the answer. Doubt may would accept it.

I love chess but my specialty is to accidentally knock all the pieces off when losing.
Isn't that a form of survival too?

But then the people watching from the sides say upon witnessing it's skewed flight to the clouds that 'tis, surely, a bringer of peace. They mistake it for a dove, you see. But doves don't usually interfere with other people's private chess games, claiming their boards for their own and ruining the fun for everyone involved.
