I guess that since they attacked and killed a catholic, his death will be most important for the French people. Whether that disgrace of a president will do anything, I am not sure. You don't actually know him as well as the French do and a majority of those (and a very large majority left-wing) want him gone. They just voted him President because they simply had no choice than to vote for him because nobody wanted Sarkozy apart from the right. He should have stepped down ages ago and given Valls the job...
That does not answer the question of what you want him to do, though.
Shall he bomb French slums? How about invading Belgium. It's all well and good to say "do something" but the question remains
He did give you an answer you just didn't want to acknowledge it. The answer was to step down.
Whether that will help matters is another question entirely. (July 27, 2016 at 2:52 am)Minimalist Wrote: That does not answer the question of what you want him to do, though. Yes it did answer your question. The answer is at the end. All he does is come out with hot air bollocks, and to be honest, the French are not falling for it at all. In fact, in my lifetime, France has had many presidents, from Chirac, to Sarkozy to others. He is the absolute WORST of the lot. I think the expression "soft as shit", is applicable to him and the sooner he goes, the better and the citizens who voted for him will breathe a sigh of relief. I mean, he is fucking worse than Blair, Bush and Clinton for incompetence. As for your response with regards to the sensible areas in France, get a grip!!! I can walk throught the toughest areas in Paris at midnight and still feel more safer than I would do in say London, Manchester or Birmingham.
Then let me re-phrase. Who do you want as president and what will he do that you are so gung-ho for?

When people get pissed off, they get pissed off for a reason. If I know one thing is for sure, if there is one person who could step up to the plate, it has to be Valls. At least he has the balls to stand up for what is right, not like Hollande who repeats the same lines over and over again and does sweet fa. Now, do you understand why he is the worst president ever? Remember, the worst ever British Prime Minister I think was Gordon Brown and he went down to 23% in the opinion polls. Hollande has gone down to 14%. I won't insult your intellingence by asking if you know mathematics, but if we go with the known population of France and say there are 40 million adults out of 64 million, that means only 5.6 million have confidence in him. In the general election in 2012, he had 51% of the votes or 18 million out of 34 million registered voters. He has lost 13 million plus those who didn't vote in the first place. Anyway, I am sure that Valls will put something into place for thefuture, unless he goes sucking up to Belgium like the other one.
I ask you about what specific actions you want someone ( anyone!) to take and all you can tell me is his poll numbers suck.
What do you think Valls will do? What do you want him to do? If you say, "talk like Trump" I'll be very disappointed because tough talk is as cheap as any other kind of talk. For Valls to actually get to the heart of the ISIS regime and take them out. Send the foreign legion over there. As for "talk like trump", anyone who thinks Trump is taking the elections seriously must want their heads seeing to. The guy is a billionaire and all it is doing is creating publicity for him. I mean, if it has got his critics talking about him 24/7; even more so than Barack Obama, then he must be doing something right as far as publicity is concerned. As Oscar Wilde once stated, "There is only one thing worse than being talked about, and that is NOT being talked about." The more hate he gets the more he likes it, just like Vince McMahon during the attitude era of the WWE. He was just a commentator, but then affairs were taking a turn for the worse, so, why not have the idea of having the actual boss turning into a bad guy and creating a storyline with Stone Cold Steve Austin. It is business. Businessmen don't do anything for nothing. |
