whats the biggest reason you left christianity?

for me, aside from how almost everybody was a condescending douche - it just pisses me off how god knows how messed up the world is, and does absolutely nothing, but we're still supposed to love him and have faith that things will be better after we die...but the times good things happen, he gets all the credit like wth? so is free will a switch that he turns on and off??
i'm better off believing ill get a super hot girlfriend after i die, at least then i don't get pissed that she doesn't do anything to help me now, because i can still fap to her, and it's not part of the terms that she can help me now and is choosing not to, and even if she isn't real and i just die and stop existing, i wont be disappointed and i'll still get some mushy feelings and good faps, but christianity was nothing but disappointment day after day :/

I never left Christianity because I've never believed in God.

You know I think of religious believe as going hand-in-glove with political conservatism. Obviously that would make you the outlier. Does that ring true to you in general?

Yes, I'm definitely on the outside. Been that way most of my life. My beliefs, or lack there of, are specific to me, I'm guessing that are are for you also. In the political liberal arena do you not separate yourself from the herd on some issues? Are all the political liberalists areligious? Is Hillary an atheist?

I wish more people would leave because it's immoral and stupid, regardless of whether it's true. It's so rare I find someone who believes in the Christian God yet refuses to worship it.

The process culminated in my early teens when I listened (really listened) to what my fellow congregants were claiming as they recited the Apostles' Creed. It hit me: not only did I not believe in any of that nonsense, but I was embarrassed for the adults in the room who did.
I've never looked back.
