I don't even have to have seriousness. I just don't care, lol.
I also don't like Star Trek that much - I will watch TNG because I *adore* Sir Patrick Stewart, and yes I'm aware of all the significance of ST. I just still don't give a shit.
I can't help it - I'm drawn to the Hero's Journey narratives. Star Wars. Lord of the Rings. Even Harry Potter (to a MUCH lesser extent). I love Once Upon a Time because after you get past the kooky, overly-pretty nature of it, it cycles through those themes of journey and love and darkness and redemption on a nice fairy tale, and human scale.

I remember that show, didn't realize It was a series, thought it was a helluva long movie. The wife and some friends binge watched it. At the time I was into world of warcraft so anything that kept them women cc'd was cool with me.
