It -still- shouldn't be. There are rights...and maybe even privilege, that you feel this Trump election will cost you. Grab that feeling, hold onto it - they've been feeling that way for awhile. Whether you agree or disagree with their position...that's the feeling.
I know that you think they voted against their interests...but Trump was at least talking to them. The DNC has long ago abandoned them and Hillary decided she didn't -need- them (a familiar narrative to the angry white male)...she wasn't even speaking to them. That might explain why even the college educated white male went to hillary.

Just one more thing Hillary and I don't agree on. We don't owe that man a fucking thing, ofc an oligarch would think we did. I'm sure that Trump expects to be able to cash a check at some point as well.

But yeah, racist bigots? Hard to empathize with. Don't make me the bad guy here. I want people to be able to be who they want to be, even the bigots have that right. But they don't want the same things I want, they only want THEMSELVES to have those rights.

I'm not, I'm really not trying to make you out to be any sort of bad guy. Trouble is...they really aren't either. It's the situation that;s all fucked up, that's the bad guy...these fucked up people have managed -not- to vote in a trump for all this time....and the only reason that his message rang out was that he correctly identified somebody else as the "bad guy", for a change...to these voters...even if he flung alot of shit at people who weren't...and lo and behold the dems cooperated beautifully...by putting the "bad guy" on their end of the ballot.
That the bloc who voted for trump has been sold out isn't a matter of conjecture, or a racist or bigoted supposition..even if they, themselves, are largely bigoted racists. The parts of the map that went red have been left to turn into wastelands fit only to build the prisons that will one day hold their children, while we focus more and more on the inner city. If their white male privilege, in this instance, was simply being a part of the conversation....then that's what they lost, and that's why Hillary lost.
