LMAO - in the Philosophy section, atheists say that that's just a claim, and doesn't count for evidence.
When person X admits that they committed a certain type of crime that they are in a position to be able to commit, that's not a claim. That's an admission of guilt.

What I am wondering now is what will happen with Trump's tax evasion and why he hasn't been inspected yet. Are we going to have to wait for the presidency to come to an end before anything is done about it?

Hillary supporters believe in a diverse America; one where religion or skin color or sexual orientation or place of birth aren’t liabilities or deficiencies or moral defects. Her campaign was one of inclusion and connection and interdependency. It was about building bridges and breaking ceilings. It was about going high. As it turns out, that wasn't, at all, what her campaign nor the dems were about. The votes should make that plainly apparent. A voting bloc powerful enough to not only reject the truth of that statement and even make it's believers doubt it....handed someone else the presidency...because they do not feel, and demonstrably have not -been- included, and yeah, they also happen to be a bunch of bad things - but apparently so is a significant portion of the people you might not have expected to go trump (the blue wall of the north, college educated voters)...and it's not as if being [insert darkest trait here] made them wrong about having been excluded, even if they've been wrong about -why- they were excluded.
Rural america is a wasteland. You are wrong, it was about helping all of them, rural included. But she didn't tout their other social values, so they didn't want to listen. Her policies would have helped them more than Trumps.
Trump offered them literally nothing, an empty plate at best, and taking more away from them at worst, and they opted for that because of the social divide.
Vague offers of bringing jobs back, kicking out those damned illegals stealing their jobs, and more sever trickle down economics. They want to blame everyone, the illegals, the government, the liberal elite, so they voted out of blind anger. Well, we'll see how their wasteland looks in 4 years. Pretty sure it will have expanded to include even more of us.
This was a campaign of fear, and it worked wonders.

1491.
Edit: nvm.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

This was a textbook campaign used by all demagogues throughout history. It appealed to the same segment of the population, the disenfranchised. And as with every other demagogue beforehand, all the promises will be broken.
You can see it all described in The Anatomy of Fascism by Robert O Paxton which analyses fascist movements throughout history.

Well, personally I want to live in a world where I can see a future beyond 2050. With the republicans entrenched in all three branches of governments, I no longer have the small glimmer of hope that this is the case.
We are fucked as a species if they even do a third of what they want to do vis a vis the environment. And yes I know we weren't doing near enough until now, but with a US government that doesn't even want to pretend to care, the world will regress on the most important issue faced by humanity.

She didn't -tout- to them at all Aroura.....it wasn;t even a secret. She put her efforts on the big states and big cities and sent surrogates out to the rural areas to deliver a message they -already- didn't believe in. She didn't even -visit- wisconsin, as in the state, after the primary. Not once. That was actually a little bit of a record. It had been awhile since they'd been so completely ignored.
Yes, yes, ffs yes. It was a campaign of hate and fear, and that didn't hurt Trumps chances at all, but the people whom he appealed to had a legitimate complaint and they gave a giant f-u to both parties on account of it. Trumps not a conservative, they didn't go conservative. They had plenty of dog whistle blowing conservatives to choose from....the government -has- fucked the common man and the liberal elite -has not- done anything to stop it...they;ve been complacent and complicit....and then...they thought they might win this one without even talking to the people they needed to win over.
There is a very short window here, before a narrative about it being the other guys fault (amusing..considering that you're giving the trumpsters shit for this very thing) that this terrible thing happened calcifies and you become doomed to repeat it next cycle. You're completely dismisssing them again, right after dismissing them cost Hillary the presidency she worked so hard for.

Some people just won't understand Bella. Their minds just haven't had to cope with anything like this in their lives and so they have no frame of reference. Lucky for them I suppose.
