I used to have a lot of interest in psychedelics. I can't say that I ever used them in a spiritual context but I certainly do think they helped me grow as a person over the years. Now I'm not sure psychedelics can do anything for me that I can't achieve through meditation, mindfulness and quiet self-reflection. The psychedelic experience can be very bizarre and interesting and amazing... but ultimately I found that they didn't do much for more for me that I couldn't do on my own.
“Love is the only bow on Life’s dark cloud. It is the morning and the evening star. It shines upon the babe, and sheds its radiance on the quiet tomb. It is the mother of art, inspirer of poet, patriot and philosopher.

It is the air and light of every heart – builder of every home, kindler of every fire on every hearth. It was the first to dream of immortality. It fills the world with melody – for music is the voice of love.

Love is the magician, the enchanter, that changes worthless things to Joy, and makes royal kings and queens of common clay. It is the perfume of that wondrous flower, the heart, and without that sacred passion, that divine swoon, we are less than beasts; but with it, earth is heaven, and we are gods.” - Robert. G. You can make the carpet look like it's moving with meditation?
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

I don't like spiritual as a label. I'll own up to being intrigued by various mysteries regarding the human condition. But I don't take a competitive approach to it. I assume most anything billed as spiritual will be lame.

The Truth contest ??
The Law of Attraction ??
Essential oils
Healing Crystals
Prayer
Mantra

Yoga
Meditation
Mindfulness
Mind expansion
Use of psychedelics .. but all done with that now
Pacifism

Ancient aliens/UFOs/Aliens
Animal magnetism
Creation myths
Chakras

Yep. I've had out of body experiences with meditation as well which were very akin to some of the more intense LSD trips I've had. Then again I've been diagnosed with HPPD and see fractals and things breathing on a regular basis. None of the anxiety or anything like that though.

So yea I dont need psychedelics anymore. Ever try an isolation tank? That's intense too.

I haven't really done anything on that list except a bit of meditation, and I consider that to be far less than spiritual when the goal is to concentrate on muscle relaxation to lower blood pressure and reduce tension

Don't worry, my friend.  If this be the end, then so shall it be.

Essential oils make my nose happy.

Yoga body? That sounds hot. I guess I'm open to some spiritual stuff.

I agree that spiritual is as ill-defined as God. It means fuck all. It's whatever people say it is. And it's either metaphorical or bollocks, generally.

I marvel and wonder, I get emotionally caught up, I look at things in strange and nonstandard ways, I feel connections. I'm spiritual, if you consider such things spiritual. But I don't need to pretend anything beyond the ordinary is actually happening.

I hear you rob. I think nature is beautiful, I love thinking about the fact that were basically just really smart primates who are essentially made of dead stars. But I don't consider that spiritual its just natural

I agree. It's perfectly natural to feel all kinds of emotions when thinking about reality. The problem with woo and religion in general is arbitrarily attaching extra significance to emotions.
