Indiana state officials have agreed to give United Technologies Corp $7 million worth of tax breaks to encourage the company to keep at least 1,069 jobs at its Carrier unit in Indianapolis, Carrier and the state said on Thursday.

Well, fuck them.  They voted for those two pieces of shit.  Let them subsidize a rich corporation like the rest of the republicunt bastards want.

Let's say that each job is worth $50,000 per year in salary and benefits. Multiply that by 1,069 That comes up to $53,450,000.00 per year that the community gets.

You would throw that away for $7,000,000? That really makes sense. Hey we can just put them on welfare and food stamps and save a ton.

He can’t do that.  No U.S. president has any right to tell private companies where they can produce or invest.  More obviously, no U.S. President has the legal authority to impose targeted tariffs or taxes on specific firms — simply to punish business decisions he doesn’t approve of.

Disclaimer:

I get a United Technologies pension in a few years. I had no idea Carrier was part of it, and I also thought United Technologies did a far greater percentage of their business for the DoD. That's what I get for not looking at the information packets they send every autumn.
