i think my dreams could teach me a lesson..about who i am..?or can become?
i believe in true friendship and love..there's' too much fake feelings around..
blablablabla..I try to be myself..and be a positive thinker...hippies spread love, not silly ideas..

What does friendship and love have to do with spirit? Why not accept that this is natural human activity forged by evolution? The brain can be our friend.

but..that's not my problem, dear friend..oh...this is only internet where folks types messages on an azerty or qwerty keboard,is it not?
the real sense of it all...goes much deeper..anyone into paganism here?i used to know few friends in the U.K..who are into pagan beliefs..

I have been to a few Rainbow Gatherings, Ashrams, had memberships in a few co-ops. Think I know a little about hippies. Ideologues and politicians play the divide and conquer strategy. Us vs. them. Somehow when the hippies were seeking collective consciousness and a family of mankind they fell for the greatest religious divider of all ... mind vs. body. A division where none exists but keeps the seeker seeking. Nothing against people who want to join hands in a circle a sing "It's a Gift to be Simple" though. The world would be a better place if people laid down the weaponry and got naked in a mud bath together.

Chimp..that's a posting i can appreciate and value..at least you're not beating around the bush..

Yeah. My own bias is that spiritualism is essentially an escapist enterprise. It is a quest to get beyond the mundane, to ascend to the higher planes of existence and to feel free. Me, I'm a soul man. I like the dark, dank entanglements of the flesh, the complexities of human society and the nitty gritty stuff of the earthly plane. Yep, it's chopping wood and toting water for me baby. I like getting my hands dirty.

Yeah man, that's how comedy works a lot of the time. Hyperbole. Just some light hearted fun. You know, if you can't laugh at yourself and all that.

Friendship and love are part of being a primate! We should be more like bonobos than chimps , thus the hippies! Peace is a valuable goal.

@tigerlove

I'll meet you halfway, so... sometimes, when I wander under a starry winter night and contemplate the vastness of the cosmos, its sheer scale and all I know goes on about it, I sometimes get a kind of a fuzzy high-like feeling. Sometimes I listen to music or experience nature and that does the same. I would call that the closest to spiritual experiences that I have because while I don't exactly know what the word means, that's what kind of matches descriptions of other people's experiences which they called spiritual. Is that what we are talking about here?
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

RE: what do you all see in spiritualism?
allright..hippies grew up??aren't we ALL growing up??isn't life a growing process in our existence?
i still have to discuss karma, reincarnation, life after death etc..it's a sub division of sprituality
it's gonna be a long thread,my friends==get your fingers ready..practise your keyboards and typing scores(ahah)
to be honest...I LOVE this forum..it's full of VERY intelligent folks who know what they are saying and talking about
and I LOVE a discussion..nobody can hit or hurt me in my true values...don't hurt yourselves,please..
being spiritual..is being yourself in the first place...be it religious, non religious or just believing in your OWN values in life...
a value...is a key word...it has to be..positive,spreading,growing...
for me without personal values and beliefs...there is nothing...life becomes a void,an emptiness...
being spiritual is about thinking for the better...the purpose of life, the positive things we want for ourself and others.
and the negativity we NEVER want for anyone around us.. Smile

so...a word to the mods==DO NOT BAN ME.. Huh Rolleyes I can come out of a corner where i hit emotions
