Mediocore Games With Magnificent Soundtracks

Here is a thread for mediocre video games with magnificent original soundtracks.

Here's one to get it going... an obscure real time strategy game for PC called Warbreeds from way back in 1998... it was never really played online and it was nothing special and the higher campaign levels were super difficult and the skirmish was super easy...

...it was a mediocre game I played lots as a child. But why did I keep playing it so much and why do I still get such nostalgic memories about it?... well...

...because the soundtrack was magnificent:





So how about you guys? Know any mediocre games with magnificent music?

I heard there was some controvery about it being prematurely rolled out with many features missing. Is that why you classify it as mediocre?

I think it was more the lack of variety and grindy gameplay for little reward. For a game about lots of planets variety is necessary.
Updates have somewhat improved the game, and some PC mods help the variety deal, but it still needs more improvement.

Devils advocate - Half Life 2 without SMOD is in dire need of improvement. Yet it's considered one of the best games of all time. Having gone through many a mod, I've learned that the game itself is capable of so much more.

Just a reminder that "better" applies universally.

I grew up with this game so I love it but I'll admit it wasn't a great game. Soundtrack was great though.





Tim Follin composed for some crap games but he knew how to squeeze the potential out of those old soundchips.
