Music that has a strange emotional impact on you

I stumbled across this unusual concert featuring mind boggling counter tenor Jaroussky and an old music ensemble, and for some strange reason, the concert brings unusual memories and emotions to the surface in me that are hard to explain. I think it reminds me of events from my youth, as if my life and the universe flash in front of my eyes... From almost the first notes I feel an in credibly deep happiness and melancholy at the same time when listening to it, it sucks me in with the dulcimer sound, meditative repeating harmonies and reverberating acoustics. (actual concert starts around 1:20)
What do you think when listening to it? Do you have that sometimes with other music?

The entire Fear of a Blank Planet album by Porcupine Tree does for me. It's my favorite album of theirs and deeply emotional to me. These 3 songs aren't necessarily my favorites from the album but they certainly make me the most emotional:
It's more emotional than ever for me now... and I do listen to it occasionally but sometimes it gets me too emotional even though it's my favorite album by them.
I do wonder if it has something to do with the fact this is the album that I was listening to repeat every day when I attempted suicide.
It's also the first album I ever bought by them. After I didn't die I bought the other 9 albums.
And yes very deep happiness and sadness at exactly the same time is exactly what I feel when I hear these songs.

"Ode to Joy" by Beethoven.

I have some very "heavy" adolescent emotions tied up in "Maybe You Should Drive," "Born On A Pirate Ship," "Stunt," and "Maroon," the second through fifth albums of my favorite band growing up, Barenaked Ladies.

Don't worry, my friend. If this be the end, then so shall it be.

Fur Elise leaves me calm but with goosebumps.
I think it is the most beautiful song ever.
Followed by Greensleeves.

For me, emotional songs are sometimes almost unbearable because I have intense anxiety associated with implicit memories and emotions that I try to avoid. It's not all the time, but some of the time. Still, there are songs that really move me.
Moonlight Sonata
Knights in White Satin (our wedding song)
and so many more.

I feel you on that. I absolutely adore both Three Days Grace and Brad Paisley but I can't listen to 'I Hate Everything About You' or "He Didn't Have To Be' without triggered an anxiety attack.
Also Moonlight Sonata
VERY good pick!

Moonlight Sonata is ridiculously beautiful. Heavy metal is one of my favorite genres. I like to think of Beethoven as the heavy metal version of classical music.
