Without the Shedding of Blood There is No Remission of Sin

That wasn't the original purpose of animal sacrifices.

Actually, you're right. Prior to covenant with Moses, when believers would sacrifice portions of their flock, they we're giving a portion of their wealth to God. A farmer might also sacrifice a potion of his crops.

Yeah, Cain can tell you how much god appreciates THAT....

blood= death

the price of sin is death.

You have you whole life whether it be another day or 1000 more years to be judged. Just because you feel you haven't doesn't mean you cant.

Unless you are producing evil fruit (ISIS) then I don't think you can be judged yet (so long as you are still alive.)

Quote:But I embrace everything that Christians call evil.
and according to most traditional Christians I am a heretic... Thankfully we are not judged by Christianity. Rather the fruit we produce is Judged by Christ.

Quote:I love homosexuals. Though I am straight,
Homosexuals are not evil, they like every one of the saved are simply slaves to sin.

Quote: I've shaken off the last vestiges of christianity and no longer flinch when a woman touched the small of my back.

how 1990's of you.

Quote:As for judgement, maybe one day I will be called on the carpet for my shortcomings, but at least I won't be standing there trying to explain to whatever true god there may be why I believed a book that said he created the grass and the trees before he created the sun and the moon.
Then I'm sure once he shows you a pbs documentary on how we man grow trees and grass without sun or moon, but by light we have created (which light was created on day one) you will feel pretty damn stupid even by finite man's standards, when you finally figure out that the sun is simply a source of light. Not the only way light it produced.

In otherwords even if the bible did not describe God as being light, and Man can indeed create light to grow plants by, then how the more easy would it be for God to do the same on Day ne when He created light?

Quote:Do you really think you will find divine favor by  defending the indefensible and believing things you know are not true?
What a narrow mind view of the world/light you have.

Are you so dense that you can not distinguish between light and sun light?

That small understanding is ALL that is needed to topple your "indefensible" question. Then what? will you show God your 1990's let a girl touch the small of your back without jumping?

The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.

Doing it "god's way" only ends up being doing it one's own way, because god is nothing more than the reflection of one's own subconscious.

Really thought this one out huh?

Because if this were true then atheist have it made.

They were foreshadowing the sacrifice of Jesus.

So millions of animals were slaughtered to give away the plot to God's novel? Him liking the smell of burning animal flesh is a more sensible motivation.

Maybe a culture inured to animal sacrifice is more likely to interpret tragic deaths as their god taking a sacrifice.

We pretty much DO have it made. Our main problem is that we live in a world where everyone else thinks the ruler of the universe shares their opinions.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

Oh come off it now! Us mere humans can't be expected to understand God's sadisti--uh, I mean, majestic ways.

It's the Christians who have it made. They're saved by grace, so they can sow seeds to the flesh all week then go to church on Sunday and pray for a crop failure. Neat!

Why are you saying this when you know it's not true? If you're going to argue against christianity why don't you argue honestly? Read the books of James and 1 John.
