As used by Trump, "I hope you can.." is like "an offer you can't refuse". It's mafia-speak. Understated intimidation.

Yep, Trump is afraid of his past being dug up. It is quite common in any investigation of any crime for the boss not to start out as a suspect but end up being investigated. Trump's repeated overtures were basically saying "you are getting to close to me". Trump doth protest too much. Yeah you can, or you can make it sound like a casual suggestion. We don't really know how Trump meant it, and I always stick to the ethos of no belief without evidence. Regarding how much we know about Trump, his Twitter outrages, do you honestly believe him innocent in what he was conveying?

Understated intimidation. I cannot find the article right now, but he just made it public that he is willing to testify under oath that Comey is the liar. This orange soda is disgusting. This is good enough: Quote:Today Trump alleged that Comey lied about their interactions in his testimony. When asked if he’d be willing to testify under oath, Trump said he “100%” would. http://washingtonjournal.com/2017/06/09/...nge-comey/

I guess with the election of Trump? (June 9, 2017 at 5:22 pm)CapnAwesome Wrote: I have no way of knowing without evidence. I don't know when atheists abandoned this principle. I guess with the election of Trump? Give me a fucking break. The man is a fucking lunatic. His tweets obviously convey that. You are simply being obtuse.

I guess with the election of Trump? You don't see the problem with automatically just believing the worst about someone before waiting for evidence? Republicans did that for 8 years to Obama. I bet you saw the problem with it then. I have no idea how Trump said his statement, it could have been an order, suggestion, or something else. I can't know without further evidence and neither can you. I can know how something is conveyed from personal experience of how others have conveyed it in my presence.
