They support the Republicans. Republicans have promoted discrimination against gays. Therefore they have no place at the parade . This has nothing to do with conservatism. It has to do with supporting an anti gay group . If the Dems had spent the last 30 years fucking over gay people . And the parade told them to fuck off it would be the same situation. I know your dense .and you live in Trumpland where people who support bigots should be allowed to march with the people there trying to victimize . But the rest of us live in reality were those people should give there head a shake.

"Gays can be republicans" is not a good argument. The issue is not legality, the issue is why would anyone want to belong to the GOP that still today does that to a very great degree. Again, that would be like a chicken supporting KFC. You may have the legal right, but it would seem to be valuing your abusers.

It's also completely beside the point. They fact that they are Gay Trump supporters just boils down to the fact that they have issues that are more important to them than gay marriage.

There are plenty of gay people that live in big cities that aren't threatened by small town politics, and so sticking it to liberals or guns or immigration or abortion is a bigger priority for them. It's the same as poor people that vote for Republicans. The GOP is completely clear that they want to get rid of programs that help poor people and give tax breaks to the rich, but they have these people by the giblets because Guns, God, 'Bortions, and 'Murrica.

The entire point is that this is a parade. It's not a free for all public event where anybody that wants one gets a float. The Gays for Trump are perfectly capable of showing up for Pride and celebrating at the parade, but they are not entitled to march in it.

I'll say it again, if there were an Easter Parade in any town, and the Westboro Baptist Church showed up to have a "God Hates Fags" float, there would be no problem with denying them a place in the parade. They have the right to be at the event though, and even though the organizers and the WBP are both Christian, they don't stand for the same things and don't have the same message.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Yes, most of the LGBT community consider their letter to be the defining attribute of their being, and so for them the KFC analogy is appropriate. But, some see their sexuality or gender as only one part of themselves, and so they're not single issue voters.

1. Yup and for those" more important" issues they are willing to toss other peoples rights under a bus . Same goes for the poor who voted for Trump.

2. I agree. Thou there is no way really of stopping them from coming. I think it should be made clear there presence is not wanted . As unwanted as a black person in Klan garb holding a sign saying " My solution to black poverty is you ni%#ers going back to the field" They can show up. But the have no place in the parade.

3. Same goes for the Easter example then can show up .But the have no place in the parade.

And being alive is not a defining attribute of the chicken? . Only to have said chicken sell out the other chickens . because of" more important chicken issues" .Sorry civil rights are not just a side issue .

I guess I was confused because you said "I disagree" followed by you agreeing with me.

Contradictory responses are common in those who have multiple personalities.

None of the voices in my head can agree on anything.

Apart from Roger.

Roger only ever says, "Duh, I's Roger!"

And the other voices agree that yes, he is indeed Roger.

Do you ever let Roger do open heart surgery?
