Ken Ham's Creation museum is FAILING!!!!!
RE: Ken Ham's Creation museum is FAILING!!!!!
Well they just got an $18 million dollar break because Ham thought the state had his back.

https://ffrf.org/images/FFRFArkRecords_7.21.2017.pdf

He thought he could avoid a $700,000 fee by transferring ownership of the Ark to the non-profit. The state took him up on that deal and pulled the tax rebates, quoting the Ark Encounter's website in the process.

Ark Encounter Website Wrote:“The for-profit LLC structure also allows the Ark Encounter to be eligible for various economic development incentives that would not have been available with a non-profit structure.”

Note: This blurb has since been removed from Ham's website.

Sweet, sweet schadenfreude.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Fucking jesus is no tax lawyer!

http://www.rawstory.com/2017/07/kentucky...afety-fee/

Quote:Kentucky Noah’s Ark theme park loses $18 million after violations of tax law for refusing to pay a safety fee

Quote:According to Hemant Mehta of the Friendly Athiest (who’s been following Ham’s “Ark” for quite some time), Ham was sent a letter by the Kentucky Tourism, Arts, and Heritage Cabinet telling them a shady deed transfer violates the conditions of their sweet sales tax rebate deal secured for the failing creationist theme park.

Quote:In short, Mehta wrote, the Kentucky tourism cabinet told Ham that “‘the deal is over'”.

Fuck all creatards!

I don't even get schadenfreude anymore. I just want the fucking criminal to be prosecuted for this confidence trick. I want justice served and lessons learned, I'm not satisfied with just pointing and laughing at this sickening stupidity.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

I'm seeing things on youtube where it's speculated that the ark park has brought in less than the $700K they stood to lose and THAT'S why they tried to pull their stunt of transferring the property to their non-profit. They must have only lawyers who went to bible colleges for them to miss THAT fucking mistake!

I think they're pushing chose to a million tickets at $30-45 apiece. I think they are good for $700k.

I think they're inflating their sales figures to try and convince people they aren't failing miserably while they frantically figure out a way not to have completely fucked up this already-doomed shit show. That they aren't fully disclosing actual attendance numbers is not a good sign on their part. How many of those tickets are from atheists going to see it ironically and make fun of it? Plus all the expenses of food, maintenance, employees, utilities, and all that, on a park that appears empty a great deal of the time, have to be eating up what they have earned pretty quickly. Good thing it's so poorly designed, there's probably very little maintenance needed, and they can just turn off the lights in the empty displays. Ham's already personally blaming atheists for 'problems' so they've tacitly admitted things could be 'better'. Just what is the extent of this trouble? Surely a man who ranted and raved enough to get people to donate so he could upgrade a plane ticket on short notice could spin a few niggling little woes the park is having in a way that would get people to show up more or just mail in cash. I mean, it's not like they're still in a position to 'show no weakness' so why not play on the sympathies of the deluded masses who actually think they're being persecuted?
