RE: viewing stolen nude photos
Yes. Though i dont see what this has to do with the question being asked on this thread.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

What if I don't know that she's married?

Then you cannot be accountable for something you are not aware of.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

What I don't know the photos I'm viewing are of a celebrity? What if I don't know they're stolen?

Steel just answered that. You can't be held accountable for something you don't know.

No

So the victim is just as harmed but I can't be held accountable. Got it. Except for one thing. If I did know, who would be holding me accountable exactly?

Good. Glad you managed to understand.

No idea. Depends on who is in your life and knows what you did, I guess. Or maybe yourself, that would be good too.

Are you going to answer the thread question now?

If a person is married then they owe it to their SO to not cheat with someone else while being in a relationship with each other. I think that's the bare minimum so that's a little different unless we aren't talking about monogamous relationships.

Still confused. Are you saying that looking at stolen pictures of another person's naked body against their will is not immoral?

I don't think this is a question of morality.
I mean, if a celebrity has their photos leaked and they ask everyone to not look at it, I mean, do I owe it to them to follow through on their request? Unless I'm getting paid to not look at it, it's just a stranger making a request to me, if I accept the request then fine, if I don't then it's still fine because a stranger asking me a favor shouldn't feel entitled to me following through with it, they should be fine either way because at the end of the day I don't owe them anything. You know?
