The Eclipse, the Eclipse!!
RE: The Eclipse, the Eclipse!!
Dissapointed here. Even though I was aware that there would be only a 77% coverage for my area, I didn't see anything. No I didn't have eclipse glasses, but you didn't even see the "partial". The sky certainly didn't get dimmed here as I was expecting.

Oh well... totality coming to my state in April 2024. Maybe I'll be alive for that lol

I watched it on the Nasa live cam.
Didn't get anything worth posting, I was too busy watching it.

Where do you live because I live on the NC/SC boarder. It seemed to be 98-99% even though not in the direct path. It is starting to get bright again. It did get darker here. Charleston SC was in the 100%. NYC is supposed to be 70%.

I'm near the MD/PA border, in York County. I was outside well before coverage started and then well after. I didn't notice a difference in the sun at all and while there were clouds in the sky, none were near the sun from where I was sitting, so there was a damn good clear shot. I didn't even feel the temperature change that areas in the totality felt.

We had thunderstorms through the heart of the time frame. With the clouds and rain it got stupid dark, but too much cover to see a thing.

Got pretty dim here in VA at 88%.
I checked it out for roughly five seconds wearing a pair of welding goggles.

We had a hide-and-seek sun due to clouds over downtown Carbondale, but at totality the horizons were clear enough to see the twilight glow and we did get a few brief glimpses of corona during totality. Spent sufficient time jumping up and down and going *Squee* that I think I got my money's worth. We also saw some very interesting shadows moving across the sky in the seconds leading up to totality.

NASA put up some fascinating photos taken by one of their photographers... it was of the sun while the ISS was passing by it. Very cool.

Didn't get to see much here.

Just want to strangle someone every time I hear they say "IT'S A SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE!" or "IT SHOWS YOU GOD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS!"

Exactly. This is science. Not some imaginary sky daddy bullshit.
