Is Accepting Christian Evidence Special Pleading?
RE: Is Accepting Christian Evidence Special Pleading?
And, of course, without an independent, verifiable 3rd party commenting on supernatural things going on, there's no reason to accept any of it. Because the 'eyewitnesses' sure as shit weren't unbiased.

Pre-emptive "ah, but they faced torture and death" rebuttal: so haven't many other political outsiders. Religion is politics.

Nope. That's why asset bubbles are a feature of the economic system. The majority of people can clearly be wrong about very important things.

All it tells us is that there are a lot of people who believe the same thing, not whether they imagined it or not.
That's a horrible comparison. Aggregated population trends and attitudes compared to "I'm convinced this is what happened"?

Meaningless observation since it could literally apply to every human perception ever.

But it is apparent to us that you are easily convinced of what you want to be true.

Cue RR screams of" conspiracy theories !". Despite failing to back this straw man . And refuting the ton of counter evidence that your cult  is a heap of myths and legends believed by fools. And no Road no one gives 10 damns how it sounds to you . Your the clown who buys this shit . Thus your reason deaf.

This year, in the United States and other Western countries with public education, there are people convinced that the world is flat.

People being convinced that a magic Jew existed in a time where the world powers believed in entire pantheons of gods, many of them changing shape and walking among humans, even sleeping with them and creating demigods, isn't really the indication of truthiness that Steve thinks it is.

Humans are convinced of incorrect/false things all the fucking time. Human conviction has never been a measurement of truth. If it was, suicide bombers would be paragons.

And even almost all of those stories can be put in serious doubt .

No because if we use the scientific method then we can write down a falsifiable hypothesis, an experiment to test it and the observed results. Then someone else can repeat the experiment and try it for themselves without having to imagine it.
