Thanks Tiz, for this article. I'm gonna repost it because it was so great. Too bad Alpha won't read it, for fear he may learn something that disagrees with his misinformed and shortsighted racist ideologies.

No we don't moron. We are saying if you say you are not a racist, you are still giving others cover with your bullshit in this thread by criticizing the players pointing out that inequality still exists. You sound just like a Muslim when they say, "Not all are terrorists"..... I agree, but those sickos are still using the same book to justify harm to others. So if you claim you are not a racist, GREAT, awesome. PROVE IT by shutting the fuck up, and listen and understand and accept and face the fact that our economic and justice system DOES impact blacks more negatively than whites. If you are not willing to accept that, then you are a tone deaf moron. But you are not going to get away with playing false victim here. Nor are you going to get away with vilifying the players whom are doing the right thing. RE: What is the controversy surrounding #takeaknee

There's a white husband/black wife with two black teens living in the third house down the street. Don't recall ever being scared by them. By your steadfast refusal to look into the problem of causation vs correlation, as was pointed out above by LfC. You insist he was only talking about police violence towards blacks, but that is not the case: Steve Wyche Wrote:"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color," Kaepernick told NFL Media in an exclusive interview after the game. "To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder." It's true that he emphasized police violence, but in the parts I've emboldened, he was referring to oppression, not just police violence. It stands to reason, then, that analyzing the causes of such violence is part of this discussion -- a part you heartily refuse to regard at all, lending a very superficial sheen to you "analysis". I'm not sure if you're actually racist. You may well not be, but simply buying the lines you've read most. But by refusing to examine the underlying causes, you most certainly parrot the party-line of the racists. And as I pointed out earlier, your differential treatment of two different protests, one deadly, the other completely non-violent, indicates to me that this protest by Kaepernick rustles your jimmies a hell of a lot more than the protesters in Charlottesville marching under swastika flags. You haven't admitted shit, otherwise you wouldn't have spent so much time in this thread bitching about others doing the right thing. FYI, white poor people exist too. So I am not trying to make anyone feel guilty about being white. All the players were protesting is the inequity of our economic system and justice system. My friend in Oklahoma, grew up in a poor family. Even now, even with a college degree, and working at Walmart, he is legally blind. He depends on disability too. But unlike you, whom have done nothing but bitched about players protesting, he understands why they do and he agrees they should. He doesn't like the term "white privilege". But he does accept that between poor blacks and poor whites blacks are affected more negatively on average ratio wise. And as far as ticket sales going down. I could give a shit less, some things really are more important than profit. Same shit with pro sports happened back in the 60s and 70s when black players increased in numbers. That reaction will be short lived.
I'm just gonna leave this here.
And if you have a problem with that or the fact that the peaceful protest across the NFL wasn't about anything other than police brutality against black people, you are a clueless, racist, fucktard. Disclaimer: I am only responsible for what I say, not what you choose to understand.
