He's not a prick. He's usually pretty nice. However, he does have a rule of keeping stuff like politics and child molestation to a minimum. Fun fact: when Thatcher died, Anglotopia posted a message about it on Facebook containing the barest facts. The comments section spiraled out of control shockingly quickly. I suspect he'd prefer to unite people in thinking that British culture is awesome than dividing people with politics and religion, or alienating them with talk about child abuse.
Also, I don't get paid for Anglotopia, and I mostly do music news, and most of the time, I post news stories that have already been making the rounds, taking the facts, doing some research. Reviews aren't all that common since they usually take a lot more work, but I do often do one a month or so. It's very rare I do an article and Jonathan rejects it, but I have learned to be pretty judicious about what I bring up.

Why do it, then? Just curious, not a judgment call.

It's just a nice little hobby on the side; helping refine my writing, learning to write more for an audience, and thinking and writing about stuff I hold dear: music and movies (particularly those from Britain).
Also, Black Mirror is the only Tv show I've done for Anglotopia because TV tends to have a lot more material to talk about than movies. More material means really long articles; for this reason, my reviews are mostly films. Don't Hug Me I'm Scared might be the sole other exception to the films only (or maybe a classic album review if the muse speaks to me) rule, but it's 30 minutes in all. And that still ended up pretty long.

I checked out the site for which you write. It doesn't seem the television and movie areas get much attention in the spotlight.
Can you link me to one of your articles? If you don't want it public, you can PM me.

A little known movie, well, frankly because it was never made, "Out Of Beer."
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
In all seriousness, I used to love the Friday The 13th series. But I wont be doing anything this year.
Best costume I ever had I went to a theme party and you were supposed to dress up in your favorite drink colors, like a bloody marry. I went as a "B-52". I had a shirt colored horizontal stripes yellow and brown, and took a deck of Hoyal cards and stapled them to the shirt with the letter B on the front, and the number 52 on the back. Made antenni out aluminum foil with propellers on the end.
