It doesn't state which political party they subscribed to. Based on looks alone, I'd bet they never saw a voting booth though. Could be wrong.
If it was based on race then I'd agree with chucking them into the general prison population. They wouldn't last too long.

BUT.... If this statement is true,
"The wife, Erin McNutt, said the black man threatened her family with a baseball bat during the altercation that led to the stabbing."

A former police chief of the Bordentown Township Police Department in New Jersey has been arrested on federal hate crimes charges after federal officials discovered evidence that he engaged in systematic racial discrimination that in at least one case resulted in physical abuse.

The  reports that 60-year-old former police chief Frank Nucera Jr. was arrested this week for alleged civil rights abuses, including slamming an African-American teenager’s head into a door jamb.

Louisiana supervisor allegedly swung noose at black workers

Reports confirmed Monday that a shipyard supervisor from Waggaman, Louisiana, faces three federal lawsuits after allegedly exhibiting bullying actions towards a group of black workers. Edward Collins came under fire for seemingly swinging a noose before a group of black employees that were discussing the removal of Confederate monuments in New Orleans. 

Collins was terminated from his supervisor role at Archer Daniels Midland earlier this year after cellphone video footage that depicted the apparent incident was unveiled. The former supervisor reportedly has had a long history of tormenting black workers.
