I would say though, it would be like taking out life insurance policy, only to find out it was bogus and you were never covered in the first place.

I think perhaps we should correlate the level of 'waste' in a believers life with the degree of commitment they apply to said belief. The believers who state 'there must be something' or some other nebulous pap but never commit themselves beyond that lose nothing, because other than that very simple declaration they put zero effort into it. On the other hand those of a more devout nature stand to lose a very great deal.

Consider just this one simple, uncomplicated part of a believers life, Holy mass. How long does it take a family of five to scrub up and drive/walk whatever, to church on Sunday morning. 8 Am the kids are dragged out of bed kicking and screaming and the whole sorry episode doesn't end till about, ~12 noon. And this is every Sunday year in year out.
And this is a standard issue Christian family, now what if they are of an evangelical nature, how much time is taken out of their lives spreading the good news to non believers via printed handouts and/or via forums such as this?
Tick-tock Tick-tock.

Then there's the fund raising: The rain's pissing in and diluting the magic font water, or the floor need stripping and re varnishing, or the big end's gone in the vicar's Volvo. No problem. Sell raffle tickets, have a car boot sale, sell home made jam, harass the local builders to come and fix the roof.
And all the while the Ticktockman is counting down your threescore years and ten.

All this time, effort and cost dedicated to the non existing JuJu man. But hay, If they're happy then who am I to say their lives have been waisted. But then a few years study with the Open University will land you with a degree.

I agree. But believers would not see that time spent as wasted, after all they have their eyes on the prize. The devout would definitely see it as a sound investment, a comparatively short amount of time invested now = an eternity of happiness.

We on the other hand really have no excuse for wasting any of our precious time, I've been guilty of whiling away many hours down the pub, or sat in here having stupid pointless arguments, If I had studied for all those hours spent down the pub, I could have been a brain surgeon by now.

Lmao.

For major keys my favorite is actually A major not C major.

It's C major that is especially cheesy. Plus no black keys is totally racist! (joking of course lol).

But seriously c major is so cheesy. Usually. And uninspired. Usually. There are some exceptions. Sometimes cheesy is done right. Jump by Van Halen is C major. That's cheese done right! Lol.

My favorite songs of all tend to have their relative minor blended in with their major. Which makes sense because mixed emotions fits very well with me.

A major/F sharp minor is sweet.

This is a fun article on the different moods for different keys: http://a-touch-of-music.blogspot.co.uk/2...-mood.html

It has religious connotations because the person who interpreted it years ago was a highly religious dude. But I don't find it difficult to secularize that. For example "Happy devotion to God" or something like that, I'll just translate to "triumphant".

As well as mixed emotions I liked mixed BPMs. Not multiple BPM changes, that sounds super bizarre and gimicky. What I mean is that I like half/double BPM of a song mixed in. And I like really weird jaunty time signatures. But I also like standard 4/4 in there as well to keep a beat but then other stuff has to happen.

e.g. in songs as slow as 72 BPM I'd want some double bpm riffage in there. Some 144 bpm riffs.
