Stupid fucking contractors. 1-800-DigAlert is there for a reason. I had the water main line to my house replaced recently, and the plumbers did not call DigAlert. They severed the cable (phone,TV and internet) for the whole block for about 24 hours.
They are lucky that the cable company didn't gig them. Those contractors in San Diego are going to get hurt. This is a huge deal, moneywise.

Sprayer on the kitchen sink broke/leaking. Just spent the last two hours trying to fix with zero luck. Delta brand with quick connect shit. No store had the part for the 10yr old model. Calling the plumber in the AM.
This just sucks!

I put a new shower transfer valve in the front bathroom. It took several tries to get the solder joints leak-free. If I was to cut the one piece of copper pipe, I'd bet money that it had a crease in the outside diameter. I've NEVER had to solder a connection 3 times, and have it still fail. That quick connect shit you encountered is what is on the master bath faucet. I'm just waiting for the day when there is a puddle coming from that vanity. That shit was so hard to fit into place that I'd like to go to the Delta engineering facility and bitch-slap the smirking engineer who came up with that system.

A friend gave me a recipe for a chocolate cake made with chickpeas rather than flour, seven minutes in the microwave to bake, I've made it this morning and it's bloody disgusting. It looks like a big rubbery turd. I'm sure if I drop it, it'll bounce.

You'd probably spend less money by upgrading the entire faucet system.
That might be what ends up happening. Either way the plumber is coming. I'm done with that crap.
