RE: men and women with tattoos, hot or not?
April 19, 2018 at 7:00 pm
I look at my bare chest sometimes, *with its lack of hair besides nipple hair* and I think to myself "It's so bare. I would really love some tattoos on it to make it look nice."
But I am 1) Too poor to afford quality tattoos and 2) Wayyyyyyyy too much of a pussy to handle any pain even close to tattoo level.
*my balls are hairier.

When I see a tattoo I just think "somebody has been drawing on your skin, why didn't you stop them?"
They usualy just look a mess (but that's just my opinion, what you do to/with your own body is your business)

Kurt angle - Olympic gold medalist- Clearly he made "bad choices" So you're saying that if a person achieves some measure of success and celebrity as an athlete, that person must be incapable of ever making a poor decision. Got it.
The thread asked for opinions of men and women with tattoos. I think they make people look stupid. That is my opinion and it is entirely valid as it applies to me and me only. There is no need nor point in debating it. You can disagree with it if you like. You can get all butt hurt because someone feels differently than you if that's what you want to do. But you're not going to prove me wrong because there is nothing to prove when it comes to subjective opinions. I think they make people look less intelligent. Depending on their placement and content, I think they also make people look a bit narcissistic and possibly insecure. In four words, they're not for me.
If they're for you, great. Tattoo your fucking grocery list on your forehead for all I care. I don't like them, I'm not going to like them. Actually, now that we're discussing it, I think I'll have to take that statement back. As a hiring manager, I have to say I do appreciate them in that they let me know a bit more about what kind of applicant I'm looking at right up front. In that respect, I think they're great.

Nope that's a strawman but it does blow away your claim that people who get tattoos make bad life choices . Because you don't get a gold medal by making consistently poor life decisions .
Quote:The thread asked for opinions of men and women with tattoos
Opinions can as subject to reality as anything . Simply calling it an opinion does not put it beyond scrutiny
Quote:I think they make people look stupid.
Well smart people get tattoos so you're wrong
Quote:That is my opinion and it is entirely valid as it applies to me and me only.
Unless you're a solipsist your opinion can be as subject to reality as any claim
Quote: There is no need nor point in debating it.
Their is if your making objective claim about people character
Quote:

Says the person who writes a whole paragraph whining that some pointed out the absurdity of judging someone's
character and employment ability on a skin decoration.
Quote:But you're not going to prove me wrong because there is nothing to prove when it comes to subjective opinions.
Opinions can be as right or wrong as any other statement .
Quote: I think they make people look less intelligent.
Which is false as a tattoo is not a factor in intelligence and intelligent people have them.
Quote:Depending on their placement and content,
regardless of content or placement
Quote:I think they also make people look a bit narcissistic
A complex which is objectively detectable care to test said people for it ?
Quote:and possibly insecure.
A complex which is objectively detectable care to test said people for it
Quote:In four words, they're not for me.
Which is whole different statement then the above
Quote:If they're for you, great.
I'm not the one judging people's intelligence or character or even a mental issue on a skin decoration .
Quote:Tattoo your fucking grocery list on your forehead for all I care.
I'm not the one judging people's intelligence or character or even a mental issue on a skin decoration .
Quote:I don't like them,
Which is not the same as the statements you made above .

So your objectively claiming the character of a employee on their tattoo . Thanks for proving my point.

There I go again pushing someone's buttons. Let me ask you a simple question. Can you identify the difference between the following two sentences?
1. I think tattoos make people look less intelligent.
2. I think tattoos make people less intelligent.
Do you understand that those two sentences mean entirely different things? If so, then please go read my post again. Carefully. If not, well... maybe crack an English book once in a while????
And now this.

Who said anything about character? I didn't.

You have not pushed my buttons. But you seem pretty pushed .
Quote:1. I think tattoos make people look less intelligent.
2. I think tattoos make people less intelligent.
There is no difference simply putting the word" looks" in a sentence does not change the objective incorrectness of the statement . And it remains a false judgement on appearance . Sorry that bothers you .
Quote:Do you understand that those two sentences mean entirely different things? If so, then please go read my post again. Carefully. If not, well... maybe crack an English book once in a while????
See above and no they really don't mean two different things . Both are making false statements on an object topic .
And now this.

Quote:character
a : one of the attributes (see 1) or features that make up and distinguish an individual
Are you claiming your sentence is not a assessment of an attribute or feature of an individual mainly the tattoo and its relation to employment . And while you don't straight up say your judging their character considering the rest of what you say about people with tattoos it's not much of a stretch that they are not at the top of the list . And pretty sure calling people insecure or a narcissist is a character judgement and no saying "i only said they look " will not help you your still making a objectively false statement and a characteristic judgement .

I like pictures as much as the next man, but I haven't seen one I'd want to look at for the rest of my life. Additionally - 99% of tattoo designs I've seen I wouldn't want on a t-shirt. They're tacky, unoriginal and/or pretentious. If people want to look like a bored teenage emo doodled on them during classes - it's their choice, but I don't see how this is supposed to make anyone more attractive.
Attractive people with, or without tattoos are attractive and I've never found myself thinking "This woman sure would be hot, if only she had a poorly drawn and faded picture of a cartoon cat and some floral motifs in random places around her body". Sure - maybe in the past tattoos were associated with exotic backgrounds and extreme life-styles, but now it's just another fashion accessory. Meh...
