Good morning from Canada's capital city.
I am a middle aged father of 2 sons, married to a wonderfully complicated catholic woman.
I've been on the TTA forum for years, but I have been lurking here on and off for a while and thought I'd join.
I came from a non-religious family, but I spent about 15 years trying to find god "a god", because when my mother died when I was 14 there were tons of people assuring me that she was alive and well in a "better place", unfortunately I was born with one of those bones in my head that kept saying...I need proof.
Short story... I left no stone unturned in those 15 years...
I didn't call myself an atheist until about 8ish years ago when I finally told my wife, until then I considered myself "non-religious".
So here I am, the middle aged old man that if he'd listened to the 14 year old boy he used to be when he first read genesis and said to himself "this makes no sense" would have saved himself a lot of bother.
BTW: I read all the rules.
