What, precisely, do you think that the christian right seeks to achieve with these cases asserting that, for whatever reason..their very pious baker friends should have the right to discriminate against gays......if "it" is not the right to discriminate against gays?

Yes, but you also keep repeating the same things you where told where not correct.
They are fighting for the right to not have to produce material which is specifically for or against their conscience. Personally I'm on the fence concerning a baker making a cake.
If we classify it as a political disagreement, is it then OK?

I;ve already commented on the "ok" bit - they don;t care whether or not it;s okay, they just want it to be legal.
One does wonder, however, if you;ve accurately described the intentions of the christian right in these cases...what on earth it would have to do with the christian right? Why they;re funding this legal movement, and scouting cases.
It;s a bigot issue, not a christian issue...right?

Another fun thing to mull over..just running with the notion above (since we seem entirely unaware of the concept of lying for effect.....lawyers would -never- do that, lol.....) if baking cakes is producing material specifically against their yadda yadda yadda....wtf are they doing running a cake shop?
Is baking cakes somehow in opposition to their "conscience"...as bakers, or is the sexuality of the customer in opposition to their "conscience"?
