I wish.....lol.  Naked wiccans are naked americans.  The whole bit is better done in full costume, preferably with masks. Unless theyre particularly hot wiccans..then maybe just the mask?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Quote:3/4c softened butter, 2c brown sugar, 2 eggs, 1T lemon juice, 2T grated lemon rind, 2c sifted flour, 1c finely chopped pecans.
Cream butter in a large non-metallic mixing bowl. Gradually add the brown sugar, mixing well.
Add eggs, lemon juice, and rind, then mix well until mixture is well blended.
Cover the bowl with a white or yellow towel or cloth napkin, and refrigerate overnight. The next day, shape dough into 1" balls and place approx 3" apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for abut 20 minutes. Cool on racks. Yields 36ct.

Since the summer solstice is upon us..I'll share an interesting thing about wicca that stuck out, to me...

As a particularly british religion (despite its export and americanization)....there is a specific drama of the seasons played out as the backdrop for divine experience.  This leaves those of us who live in the lands of perpetual summer grasping for a sense of having a role on the divine stage.  It;s not insurmountable, obviously, but it softens the effect of the central mythology. It;s not all that different from being a kid at christmas in s. florida.

I;m not going to infantalize you by couching my words or calling things I know opinion just because you have a predictable reaction to those bits.  I told you that magic spells werent real..for example..because they aren;t.  You'll learn that yourself sooner or later, but I see no reason to hide that fact of the matter from you.  Would you prefer that I treated you like a child, and reassured your beliefs in santa or the easter bunny?

I just wish to have a mutually respectful dialogue, that's all. This isn't a debate. MK is debating, lol But, I'm not debating.

I'll just stick my unwarranted nose in here to make an observation:

It's a general shorthand to state that certain things are untrue or not real, to mean that there is no evidence for something or no good reason to think that way. It can be tedious to couch every statement in caveats and disclaimers.

I'm not presuming to speak for anyone here, of course.

RE: What do you think of Wicca?
Way too tedious for me, at any rate, lol.  Beyond my frank description of the reality of magic, within wicca theres a solid tendency to tell people new to the faith to lay the idea of witchcraft entirely aside..as exciting as it may seem, and work on wicca first.

Counterintuitive to a newcomer, very frustrating I would imagine...as it;s usually the witchcraft that gets peoples interest in the first place.

Well, technically, "witchcraft" is entirely separate from Wicca.

Most come into it thinking otherwise, is the disconnect. Th abrahamics give wicca the best and the worst press, lol.

Do wiccans poop in the woods?
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

LOL...slightly off kilter and anecdotal.....but in my experience, alot of wiccans are real housecats.  You can take the pagan out of the city..etc etc etc.
