This so complex.
Peter Fonda said a bad thing.
It was so bad that it can't be defended except that it was said in the heat of the moment when faced with something else that was bad.
Peter Fonda admitted that he shouldn't have said it anyway and deleted the post and apologised.
Now people on the right are complaining of double standards because he wasn't punished like Roseanne was, even though she was a serial offender.
People on the left are fighting with each other over whether Peter Fonda's statement was defensible or not.
I'm going to have to side with the people who are saying it's indefensible.
But I still like the people who are saying it is and I can see their side of it.

I'll point out Fonda is a minor role in the sony release while Roseanne is the main character .

I don’t give a rat’s ass how wrong Fonda is. Nothing said about trump or his family warrants any apology until trump personally offers an apology for one of his.
In this atmosphere, most underhanded attacks will be telling, almost any mea culpa, no matter how honorable, will be a point for the opposition in the final analysis.
If you want to win you’d better stop scoring own goals out of nobility of spirit without exacting a point from the your opponent.

When you look at the facts, and maybe try understanding the other sides point of view a little. I think another poster had said, but this type of post appears to be more about hatred for Pres. Trump and political gamesmanship, then care about these children. Perhaps the focus should be less on attacking the person.
