Of course you were, unless of course no one taught you about christianity. (July 9, 2018 at 12:16 am)Godscreated Wrote: So I guess by your own personal definition you were indoctrinated into science.
The difference between religions and science are:
A: Science is true no matter the context. You don't have to have been exposed to gravitational theory to see that things move towards the ground. But to believe in jesus you must at least have been exposed to the stories at some point.
B; It is testable. All science is testable in some way. religions just tell you that something is so and you just have to go along with it.
C: Science is proven to work, religions always fail and then flail around for explanations for their failure. In fact the Abrahamic religions have failed so badly that they now place their deity outside of all reach.

You are wrong, dark matter explains the effects they see and is the current best guess but it is not "believed" just thought to be likely. They are testing to prove/disprove the hypothesis. That is the difference. If science was like religion they'd say it was dark matter an dl eave it at that . in fact no, what they would have done was assume that the universe acted like they assumed and not found the anomaly that set them looking for dark matter.

This is less than convincing.

God's God's holiness and justice are who He is and they must be satisfied, just as hunger is part of who you are and must be satisfied. I explained to you earlier in this thread that God did not sacrifice Jesus, the Son of God volunteered, something He did not have to do, but as per you you've conveniently forgotten so you can continue to disrupt conversation. By the way if Jesus did not raise from the dead we would have no hope of eternal life, through His resurrection God proved to us that it is possible to be raised from the dead into eternal life. Christ's death was sufficient to pay the price, it was His sinless life that made Jesus the perfect sacrifice. The truth is your so childish that you can't learn from conversations with Christians, what we tell you is truth, but you are not required to accept it as part of your life, unless you want your life to be a pleasant one for eternity.

Man had been expose to gravity a long time before Newton gave it relevance as a theory. Before that man had no idea why their butts hit the ground when they fell. The comparisons you made are like apples and oranges.

God is testable to those who truly want to know, if He were not then I could have never found out that He is real.

You are within reach of God all the time, you just don't want Him to reach you. Christianity is so successful that billions have come to faith in Christ, just for the record mind you.

Dark matter is something made up to explain what science can't. It's a fairy tale to disguise the ignorance of scientist.

I know for a fact, you could too, if you weren't so stubborn. Why would I live my life assuming something such as God, that makes no sense.

Scared now or later you will be.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

I honestly don't know where you are going with this.
Man and indeed everything since the big bang has been subjected to gravity but Newton managed to do the maths that made it predictable and Einstein gave us a workable theory that made predictions that were confirmed.
What does religion give us?
It says when you die "life gets better". Which is stupid.

Nothing I have seen you or anyone else post meets my level of proof needed. I wonder if you are so easily pleased why don't you believe in any of the other stuff with just much going for it as your god. my wife for example is a spiritualist and thinks she has evidence for a completely different after life than you. Honestly she has books and books on how you choose you life to learn for the next one and thinks she has past life memories.

You seem to think I have a choice in not believing. That I don't "want god to reach me". As though he's standing at my door holding a boombox over his head playing "in your eyes". Well I have seen nothing that even vaguely hints that there is a god in reality.
So imagine something very silly to believe in, imagine I believe that and I am trying to convine you of it and offer no evidence just "come on you know it makes sense" that's you that is.

I know it makes no sense. And I know that there isn't a god. I have looked at what passes for evidence to you people. Chuckled a bit and discounted the idea.

When the argument is unconvincing, a threat is all they have left -- it's butt-hurt writ large.

They don't realise that that 'just' anger feeling they get is simply all in their heads.

Abusive parents/spouses don't love. They control. There's no fundamental difference between "Love me or I'll kill you, bitch" and "Love me or I'll send you to hell, filthy sinner."

I regret that I have only one upvote to give this. ^^^
IMO, Christianity has a pathologically unhealthy concept of what love actually is.
