Fuck. I hate being on the same side as Frods. Feels as if the world is upside down. But....
While I get Adrian's evident desire to believe that a man's home is his castle the fact remains that if you stand in your living room window waving your dick around you really should expect a visit from law enforcement.
I can't tell from the original story if this "doll" is on a back wall in the person's living room or if it is sitting on the window sill with spotlights shining on it all night long. I assume that there was enough of an apparent violation to meet some sort of prima facia status for the law to be invoked.
I suspect there is more of a history between these two than just a doll in a window but I can't tell that from the original story, either.
One wonders if there will be a follow up story.

As far as I know, she has not incited anyone to violence or shown a history of harassment against any set of individuals, except for this current event against a nebulous "race" of people. Hardly befitting on the same regard that we reserve for those disgusting Ku Klux Klan mobs.
All atheists should be "educated" on Christianity. If they do not conform, they should be medically adjusted...
So one possesses the "Right to be not offended" over things that one cannot change?
Her views may be toxic. That is why I would like to know the true reasons for this ladies action. I find it hard to believe she does not know the history of the doll, and inciting racism in my book is wrong, she prolly hates her neighbor and did it to piss them off, who knows, I want to find out though.
I was joking about the medical procedures. But there are truths and falsehoods, I would not let someone "brainwash" me into believing the earth is flat... same concept. We know the earth is not, same with I know the christian bible is not reality. Racists need to educate themselves and realize how ignorant racism is.
I think people need to grow up and try to not be offended at everything, I agree with that, their are a lot of pansies out their that can't handle life. But I don't think racism in any form should ever have to be tolerated. But like I said lets see if more information about this story comes to light.
Keep those uncle ben's brown rice boxes out of your windows as well. lol

False analogy I think, Moros. Stores are interested in selling stuff and do not deliberately set out to offend their customers. The woman arrested was the member of a far right racist political party. Her action was apparently to make a political statement and provoke*,not economic. I see a difference.
*Was she not first told of the offence she was causing and asked to remove the doll?

This is Britain. Ridiculous nanny-state shit is prone to happen there (and be mocked).

Non sequitor. Who gets to judge whose views are toxic? You? Me? Whatever majority is in power? A minority?
"Judging" someone's opinions is a very sticky area. I hope you're willing to trod down the road paved with good intentions.

You've labeled her a racist, and ascribed quite a bit to her. You better back that up with some facts. Or are your own bigotries merely speaking?

These two statements are mutually exclusive. Unless you're a hypocrite. Because the latter enshrines a group's right to be not offended while the first statement would be more in agreement with the phrase "You don't have the right to be not offended".
Which is it going to be? Do some people have the right "to be not offended" or not? How does that work out?

Wait, so if you sell something, you get special privileges? Or is it that if you're a member of a recognized political party, you can be imprisoned for possessing particular views? Is this guilt-by-association circle jerk day or what?

I found another article, this one written by the metro, which contains a photo of the "offending" doll in the window, and a statement by the woman where she claims that "the doll must have been put in the window by a child to keep it out of reach of the family dog".

Funny, I was going to ask the same of you, given that you've made statements that have, so far, been unsupported (like the woman in the OP being a 'BNP member').

Was she not? I must have misread. I'll have another read. If I'm mistaken, please forgive me; I'm old and easily confused. I remain unoffended by Goliwoggs.
Just had another read of the original link.
Quote:Outside court, Howard Marjoram, 66, a BNP member from Lowestoft, said the party would be lending her support at future hearings.
Oops, I leaped to an unsupported conclusion. Geez, I'm soooo fucking SORRY. I deserve a good birching ( I have my own birches)
