Evidence for ET?

Evidence for ET?
It's a rather large deviation:

The Unexpected Trajectory of Interstellar Asteroid 'Oumuamua

What if the thing was artificial and ET is making a course correction?

It's probably the Space Force.

Don't get Donald Trump started!

But, here's a more scientific explanation:

Revisiting Interstellar Asteroid `Oumuamua

In particular:

Quote:Such a large, thin object would represent a new class of interstellar material that we havent previously observed in our solar system, but perhaps something of this shape could arise naturally in the interstellar medium or in protoplanetary disks. Bialy and Loeb also consider the possibility of an artificial origin, proposing that Oumuamua could be a piece of tech debris a solar sail discarded by an alien civilization and now tumbling through interstellar space. The Puzzle ContinuesSo: is it aliens? Probably not, folks. But does Oumuamua present a large number of puzzles that force us to continue to carefully employ the scientific method, evaluate possible uncertainties, and search for new explanations? Definitely. We still have so much to learn about this bizarre asteroid. But in many ways, the puzzle of Oumuamua beautifully encapsulates the process of science both in the excitement of an unsolved mystery and in the importance of critical thinking and methodical evaluation of possibilities.

The thing was tumbling. If it wasn't, that would be major evidence of intelligence. The fact that it was tumbling strongly suggests against it.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Maybe not AFT, perhaps ET's abilities were impaired by some moonshine.[Image: Thumbs%20Up.png]

Huh, most objects coming in from outer reaches of the solar system for the first time exhibit substantial deviation from keplerian motion.

So why is this one cause for speculation about ET but none of the others?

Since we know very little about Oumuamua it could be anything. Certainly idea that it might be an alien probe is exciting enough to draw people in believing it to be true. That's why there should be more cameras in space.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

The fact that people find it exiting to fantasize about alien probes does not increase the likelihood of it actually being an alien probe. Therefore it by itself does not justify investing in more cameras in space.

RE: Evidence for ET?
Why couldn't it something as simple as some smaller object hitting it and slightly steering it off course?
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.
