Fundies should be disappointed with the news. Evidence for inflation is also evidence for eternal inflation. Some eternal inflation models don't require the universe to have a beginning.

The fundies hate anyone who doesn't insert Jesus into every sentence they utter.

Though it's interesting to compare this interview(intelligent questions and comphrensible answers) with the CNN one recently where the interviewer wondered if the missing Malaysian airliner had been swallowed by a miniature black hole.
