Honestly, re-read my response because you didn't actually counter it. That's a poor analogy. Being good and experienced at politics, if anything, is a bad thing and not indicative of your ability to serve as POTUS. I want somebody who has a fundamental understanding of political psychology and is willing to do the leg work and research required to figure out which public policy ideas will work and which won't. Somebody who can rise above partisanship and do what is right, not pander. The prerequisite for that isn't age. Because Donald Trump certainly doesn't click those boxes. Trump is crazy.

Pete, however, isn't doing too bad of a job so far. He's the only level-headed, sane progressive out there. He's not going hyper-socialist, but he's acknowledging that American capitalism is flawed and needs some tweaking. That's the sort of candidate I've been waiting for.

Honestly, I wish our field were not so big this time. I think he is Obama smooth on top of talking about pragmatic policy.

Still going to support whom ever wins our nomination, but I agree. Pete really seems to strike the right tone on top of being policy sound.

If I were gay, I would be attracted to him. He is not a beefy boulder. Even outside the issue of sex, I have always gotten along more with males and females whom are not gung ho. I have always found friends and lovers more like those whom are mild in tone and are not worried about being the toughest bully on the block.

It's rather telling that the potential first openly gay president literally has the word "butt" in his name.

And sadly, he may be one of the few Dems running in this race who seems to have policies I say "nope" to (along with Tulsi Gabbard's pro-Assad stance) as I look through RW's page on the 2020 Democratic candidates, namely opposing the Snowden and Manning leaks.

It’s honestly a breath of fresh air to find so many candidates I like this time around; the last time, it was just Bernie Sanders.
