Honestly, as soon as I figured out Dad set up accounts for Hulu and Netflix (while we do have an Amazon Prime account, my iPad won't let me access it) I started to use it. So, here's a few from my own history (and I think I'll try to limit it to the lighter fare):

Hulu:
  • Broad  City
  • Damn near every Adult Swim Show worth watching
  • It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
  • Dragnet
  • Archer
  • Coupling
  • Letterkenny
  • One Punch Man
  • GRavity Falls
  • The Office (UK)
  • Blackadder
  • IT Crowd
  • Extras
  • South Park
  • Nathan For You
  • Red Dwarf
  • My Mad Fat Diary
  • Invader Zim
  • Inside No. 9 (Gruesome dark comedy)
Netflix:
  • Bojack Horseman (Don't let the first few episodes fool you, it gets better... and a lot preachier)
  • Most of the major BBC nature docos.
  • Arrested Development (full disclosure, Season 5 is a big step down)
  • Anne With an E
  • Better Call Saul (well it is lighter than Breaking Bad)
  • M*A*S*H
  • Futurama
  • Death Note
  • Ouran High School Host Club
  • My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
  • ... Okay, a lot of the stuff I watch on Netflix is darker.
Okay, I'm sure a lot of other series I like (that aren't dark as all fuck) are on Hulu or Netflix, but I really don't feel like cataloguing all the series I've seen that I could recommend and cross-referencing them with what Hulu and Netflix have on tap at 11 PM.

BoJack Horseman has absolutely no right to be as good as it is, but it might be one of the best shows I've ever seen, in its humor and its brevity.

But... My Little Pony? Dude?

Okay, I only bothered with the first three seasons, and since I read Shell's post as specifying lighter material (and a lot of the stuff I watch on Netflix, including Black Mirror, which I cover almost religiously on Anglotopia is darker), I confess I may have felt I was running out of options.

It also helped that MLP is (at least when I was watching it) legitimately clever and a lot less diabetic than I feared.

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

If they bring Jim Hopper back in season 4, I'm going to be thoroughly cheesed off.

My American Netflix didn’t have it!

Hasn't aired yet, but this is oozing with potential.  Here's hoping they don't muck it up.

I just don’t know about this. Creepy for sure. Also, musicals are weird.
