(Curious) Roll Call
|
Crescent!
At work!
Can you see my hand up with the middle finger extended?
Just like school days. Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???"
I generally answered 'anseo' (Irish for 'here'), unless it was Irish class, then I'd say 'here'. Used to get in no end of trouble for it.

One morning I was in a foul mood and when my name was called I replied, “What?” loudly. I then got a lecture about manners from my teacher. Guess what became my default reply. Not here.
They could never get my name right.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
Not so much a response to a roll call but to an announcement from one of the Irish Balrog's giving us the good news.
'Your weekly hour in the school swimming pool has been cancelled. Instead we have a special treat for yee, these girles have travelled allll the way from Limerick to be with yee today.' Fucking kailey dancers. 'Thank you sister Marie-Clare' we all said. 'You should have died in the potato famine you fucking bint', we all thought.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.
