Whether Trump is the first or last President to do something "his way " is irrelevant to the consequences of his actions .

Yeah, but it is germane to the conversation. I see a common thread being tugged at in this and many other posts. You either shit on Trump and equate him with unbridled evil or you are his supporter. I think it might not matter who was president because the problem lies in the execution of safety measures by the populace. Even when masks weren't officially considered necessary I was wearing one around town because the governor supported masks. I guess if Obama was president I could imagine an impassioned speech might move the needle in the populace, but there still would be that contingent of asshats that want to buck what science tells us. Impassioned speeches are nice, but we'd probably have settled for the administration declaring masks officially necessary, rather than what they did. The president of the united states intentionally mismanaged a pandemic in the united states for his perceived political gain.
There's no universe in which this would've played out without trump as it did with him. There has to be a better way to express whatever it is we're trying to say when we insist as much.

Indeed, Hitler wasn’t the first tyrant to practice genocide. The OLB would therefore find it expedient to give a pass to him and a few more like him on that basis. Because of demographics, they’re also at greater risk of death and serious complications (they trend older). Gosh, I'm sorry. I thought I typed 'Republicans are actually somewhat more prone', but - based on your response - I clearly typed 'All Republicans and ONLY Republicans contract COVID'. And I must have added the clear implication that Republicans somehow deserved this disease. Tell you what - in future, you tell me what your response to me is going to be, and I'll tailor an original post to match it. Boru
