Will kill for food.
Any luck yet?

Seen several - but none worth shooting on my property...
Also - we still have standing corn as do two adjoining fields - so it is very limited visibility. The guy who leases our field started picking yesterday but suffered mechanical problems. I expect he will be back to picking tomorrow at the latest. Better fields of fire will greatly improve the odds.
I just gotta be patient...

Depends on who you ask. To me, savages are noble & honest people who don't deny the reality of Nature, although they might not understand it very well.
Oh, sorry. I wasn’t aware that you have a special dispensation to alter the meaning of words to suit yourself.
I’d type more, but I’m off to have a big roller skate of Tuesday and philosophy for wedge.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Well yesterday sucked ass.
1. Sat all day in the blind. Didn't see shit.
2. 1 1/2 hours from dark - the SO calls. Seems she parked the SL2 under the back end of a truck and wrinkled the front end. I leave blind, go home, hop in car abd drive to scene of accident. SO is fine - just shook up. Idiot blocking traffic got ticket. SL2 - hood wrinkled - bumper cover punctured. Car driveable. We go home.
3. Back up in blind, peeved. Just before dark - two little does cross field. I take shot @ 100 yards - to which rifle is sighted. Miss. WTF?
4. Go from peeved to pissed. Another doe comes by. Shoot again @ 100 yds. Miss.

I go home. Check rifle. (AR15 in .450 BM).
Riser mount (which gets the scope at proper eye level) front screw loose as a goose.....
......
Currently re-sighting rifle.

Any idea how it came loose?
I used to have trouble with the scope of my Ruger k10/22t sliding off the dovetail. I'd laughingly say that it was from recoil, but the thing weighs 9 pounds, as configured. Maybe less, because I have a Hogue over-molded thumbhole stock to replace the laminated wood stock. I put a Picatinny rail on it to fix that. I'd be shooting 9s and 10s, and then I'd see the groups scatter. Take out the screwdriver, remount, sight in again. Seems like the elastomeric bolt stop pin I'm using now also helped.
