Of course the theory is mine, I guess I didn't make that clear. I only posted to see a rebuttal, not just a rejection.
Also, perhaps I wasn't clear that I wasn't talking about feral children, there have been one or two fairly documented cases and they cannot learn language if they have missed the window of opportunity, which is about 2 to 5 years.
But I'm talking about children, twins or close siblings that are raised in an orphanage, or by inattentive parents. They tend to develop what is called cryptophasia, this has been fairly well studied.

You mean apes who have other apes to chatter to..tend to chatter to other apes?
I think the point at which a persons theory stands in contradiction to everything in the relevant subject as well as everything else across multiple other subjects, it's doa. It would be one thing if you only had to insist that primate researchers were con artists, but when you then have to insist that anthropologists are wrong, zoologists are wrong, mycologists are wrong, botanists are wrong...biology itself..is wrong......
It might be time to revise the position, to put it mildly. Boilerplate comments about how you as a human think human language is super duper awesome can't cash the check you're floating. We're this rocks premiere generalist species, and we come equipped with a wide array of advantages. No single adaptation or behavior can be pointed to as being the thing that made us, as it were. Among that wide array of advantages, the ability to communicate is easily the most common in other life.

I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

The fallacy of argument from authority should more properly be called the fallacy of argument from inappropriate authority. Citing Einstein on God is an example of a fallacious appeal to authority. Being a genius doesn't give him special theological expertise. Citing Einstein on relativity would not be fallacious...not necessarily correct, but not fallacious. When an appropriate authority is cited, it's insufficient to dismiss their expertise out-of-hand as an appeal to authority.
