Explanation Required by the 12 guys? + the secret.
December 7, 2021 at 12:30 am
Quote:Matthew 13:24 KING JAMES VERSION
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: {13:25} But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. {13:26} But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. {13:27} So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? {13:28} He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? {13:29} But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. {13:30} Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. {13:31} Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: {13:32} Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. {13:33} Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened. {13:34} All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: {13:35} That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world. {13:36} Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. {13:37} He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; {13:38} The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; {13:39} The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. {13:40} As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. {13:41} The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; {13:42} And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. {13:43} Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. {13:44} Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. {13:45} Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: {13:46} Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. {13:47} Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: {13:48} Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. {13:49} So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, {13:50} And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. {13:51} Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.
The parable section starts at 13:24 up to 13:30
Jesus tells that parable to people and Jesus sends the people away.
13:36 says that the Jesus goes into a house and the 12 guys come into the house and ask him: Can you explain to us that story?
The story seems pretty straightforward to me.
What are the 12 guys having difficulty with?
Also, if we read
Quote:Matthew 13:10 KING JAMES VERSION
And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? {13:11} He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
So, shouldn’t the 12 guys automatically understand the secret of Matthew 13:24?
The other problem is that someone decided to document the explanation @ 13:37 and here we are. The data is not encrypted. We are all reading the secret.

It's all just a distortion of Psalms.
Matt. 13:35, "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world,"
Is an inaccurate portrayal of Psalm 78:2- 3: "I Will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us."
Except that : Psalm 78 says nothing about "things which have been kept secret since the world began" but only of dark sayings of old. These sayings refer to old sayings, not things which have been kept secret;
the phrase, "which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us," which can be found in Psalm 78, is the opposite of "secret" in Matt. 13;
Psalm 78 says "a parable," while Matthew says "parables."
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

You get the impression that whomever is responsible for that bit of dialogue was deeply..deeply frustrated and unsatisfied with the state of affairs in the world as they related to them. To the point where they're fantasizing about the destruction of the better number of the entire human race.

And it is also a part where Jesus makes one of the many scientific blunders, like not knowing that mustard seed is not the smallest of all seeds, because the orchid seed, for example, is much smaller, and young trees are not shrubs, as the mustard plant is, and shrubs do not grow into trees.
But we can't expect Jesus to know things that he apparently created, like seeds. Oh no. That was way beyond his time, not like flying, walking on water, and bringing dead people to life.

Interestingly enough, jesus wouldn't have known a damned thing about agriculture - that's not what the region he's supposed to be from does - but someone who crammed words into his mouth was part of a deeply agricultural community, judging by their heavy use of agrarian metaphors.
He's supposed to be a carpenter from a fishing town, something of an amatuer rabbi by hobby....but whoever speaks for him sounds like a sheep fucker alot of the time.

I scrolled back a little to see what the preceding lines were.
There are some matching problems.
Psalm 76:1 KING JAMES VERSION
In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.
^^^^^But Jesus’s name is not great in Israel.
Of course, “great” is a relative term but it looks like he didn’t win over the majority.
Psalm 76:2 KING JAMES VERSION
In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.
^^^^^Salem is never mentioned in the new testament except for Hebrews 7:1
There is a Salim.
Some people think that Salem and Jerusalem are the same location.
Psalm 76:11 KING JAMES VERSION
Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.
^^^^^There was just the 3 magicians that brought presents.
Psalm 76:12 KING JAMES VERSION
He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.
^^^^^This doesn’t sound like Jesus. He didn’t interact with the various countries on Earth.
And if I keep reading past Psalm 78:3, there is just the usual story of Exodus.
It talks about some jews being rebellious.
It says that the Ephraim tribe quit during battle and fled and so, god was pissed.
The Bible is quite repetitive.

I looked into it.
A mustard seed is about 2 to 3 mm. It is almost spherical and looks dense.
Orchid seeds look smaller, lightweight, like dust.
The mustard plant doesn’t look like a shrub. It doesn’t look dense. It looks like a tall grass, about 2 m in height at most.
I think if the wind blows, it would sway a lot. I doubt that any bird would nest in the mustard plant.
Perhaps I haven’t seen all the varieties or I am not a good judge just based on images I found on the web.

If I were to "hem and haw" about some issue, everyone would understand that I was uncertain/unwilling/refusing a decision. But hem is the same as haw.
"Jot and tittle" is the same. There are countless examples and demonstrations, LOL. See I just did another one.
It is a literary device.

But is it wise to do that?
They just repeat themselves so many times.
They waste a lot of storage space.
John 21:25 KING JAMES VERSION
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
^^^^^This line tells us that they don’t have paper to write another line.
They should come to the 20 th century. Machines can produce a ton of paper per day.
We also have plenty of hard drive space.
The Mormon guy and his jewish forefathers had problems with storage space so they invented reformed egyptian so that it would compress better.

but the compression looks random. One line is very short and the next is way too long. It is just bonkers.
