Critical Race Theory

RE: Critical Race Theory
What I'm trying to say is, people can't afford to be sensitive about race. We don't need to have a "discussion" about race, in the form of CRT-friendly media, of any kind.

So you attitude is that anyone who feels they are experiencing racism or feel that their life or has been impacted by racism should just shut the fuck up and get on with their life?  Is that it?

Let me ask you this, are you queer?

As a faggot, how do you feel about being fired?  We don't hire faggots around here, you know.

My point is, as a gay person, do you equally reject any discussion about injustices regarding sexual orientation?

You should know better than to disregard the obstacles other minorities face.

I feel like it can't be helped. You can't really change people's minds. To be fair, I've never been discriminated against for being gay, but then again, not many people know. That last post of yours was actually the most jarring thing I've ever read about me being gay.

That wasn't even in the universe of jarring.  That was a cream puff.  Do you not realize the number of gay people who have lost their job, their career, their family, their social standing, their lives, for being gay?  Being gay now is far safer than it was 30 or 50 or 100 years ago.  Do you think that happened because people just kept it to themselves and didn't openly discuss the issue?

People not knowing is the only defense gay people had at one time, and it isn't always easy to keep it a secret.  Even the suspicion of being gay was dangerous.

So the real question now is why you hate black people?

I don't hate black people. I just feel like they already have everything they should have, in terms of social freedom.

Really?  So you reject the notion that black people are sometimes treated differently (as in, worse) than white people in a similar situation?  It must be nice being to ignorant of the world.  I guess watching Fox News will do that to you.

I would offer examples but I suspect you just don't care.  Thus my point about you being gay.  As a hetero, should I give a shit about the issues gay people have to go through?  It still exists even if you are lucky enough not to have experienced it.  What if my sister was gay, or my brother, or my best friend?  Should I care then?
