2-The big bang theory:
“Do not the Unbelievers see That the heavens and the earth
Were joined together (as one Unit of Creation), before We clove them
asunder?” (Quran 21:30)
This clearly indicates that the universe(heavens and the earth was) joint entity the word used in Arabic is (retq) which is used to refer to different substances that make up a whole. And then god clove them asunder the word used in Arabic is (fataqa) which means to become separated from each other or to separate something by destroying its structure

3-expansion of the universe:
"And it is We who have constructed the heaven with might, and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it."(Quran, 51:47)

Good point indeed.
1. Why would Muhammad take the unnecessary risk of speculating about the events of creation?
2. Why would he get the right answer every time, among a plethora of competing myths and legends that were available at his time?
3. Why didn't any of his contamporaneous detractors denounce him based on some competing credible account of creation?

Stange. The questuion, "why would he get the answer right", seems engineered to ignore the fact that big mo very commonly got the answer wrong.

you really “theory” has a specific meaning, and nothing whatsoever in koran can possible qualify as one, right?

All of these necroposts regarding Quranic ‘predictions’ are starting to remind me of your best friend’s 35 year old brother who smoked weed all day and enjoyed nothing so much as explaining to you that the existence of Bigfoot is being covered up by the CIA.

The Koran never predicted anything and it's simply you and every other fundamentalist warping reality to fit your absurd beliefs every religion does this and your are all wrong

What? Mohammed, or should I say, writers of the Koran, literally copied creation myths and legends from Jews.

Because people at that time and place didn't have science and therefore no credible account of "creation" than someone just making stuff up.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Quote:1. Why would Muhammad take the unnecessary risk of speculating about the events of creation?
Because he likely believed no one would ever be able to prove him wrong or if they did his moronic followers would twist reality to fit his dogma
Quote:2. Why would he get the right answer every time, among a plethora of competing myths and legends that were available at his time?
He didn't get them right
Quote:3. Why didn't any of his contamporaneous detractors denounce him based on some competing credible account of creation?
Because they also just made shit up

I see a reference to heaven. I guess heaven would need to expand as more men died and requisite virgins need be conjured. But, where do the quoted verses use the term "universe?" Right. They don't. Stop being silly.

The Earth has an age of 4.5 billion years. The Big Bang was 13.8 billion years ago. The two are separated by more than twice the age of the Earth. Congratulations on disproving the Quran. Would you like to try another religion? We have thousands to choose from.
