Somehow, $NZ22,000 disappeared from my account...
Weird - I just checked and $22 000 has mysteriously appeared in my account. What a coinkydink.

Exaggerated expression of ostentatious innocence on my face is all the alibi I need.

Possible connection?

Doing my budget projections for the rest of the year. If I can keep my impulse buys under $175 a month, I should be able to upgrade my computer and graphics card, buy a new bed, and still have enough to go to four baseball games a month and buy lots of presents for birthdays and Christmas.

Just placed my grocery order to pick up in the morning.
If anything good came of COVID, it's that I don't have to go to the damn grocery store...something I have hated since I had to start doing it myself.
As it is, I place my order and pick it up at 7 am on Friday mornings...takes about 20-30 minutes total including drive time. It's a beautiful thing.

Having a Guinness. I got my brisket started, and the veggies are all cut up. It's just a matter of time. It will be a little light on meat, as there was 1/2-pound of fat on the point cut. I'll buy flat cut next time. And I get to try out my new carving knife. I opened and sharpened it yesterday, so it's ready to go.

That is nice. But I don't trust people to get reasonable looking vegetables (for instance), so I go myself. CostCo, 7 miles round trip, buying the stuff, 45 minutes, tops. I have a list, but if I do see something else I need, I will buy it. But that's not wandering the store, handling everything in sight, like some people I know.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

I have actually had good luck with fruits, vegetables, and meat. I was also hesitant at first and would go real early to shop for those items.
The only reason my trip for pickup takes as long as it does is that I have to cross one of the busiest intersections in town at that hour in the morning. The trip includes two of the slowest damn traffic lights ever.

Just got back from getting four inches of my hair cut off. Even though it's still halfway down my back, it feels so short.
