It's that time of year, when we have to renew our residency permits. Our current permits expire at 11:59pm on March 29th, we were able to secure appointments to renew our residency at 1:00pm on March 29th. If there's a problem we he have (checks watch) less than 10 hours to exit the country to avoid becoming illegal aliens. It's strictly an administrative procedure but local immigration authorities are famous for being sticklers for process and procedure.
Fortunately, we will not have to contend with this for another three years, and after that, never again unless we wish to become citizens.

Browsing Z690 motherboards. There's only one with four PCIE x16 slots. That makes things easy. My money this year will be spent on a graphics card, but maybe next year.

I'm renewing my resolve as a secular activist to be kind and respectful to religious believers. I want to show all believers that I love them as equals. I love my Christian wife, why can't I respect all other Christians as well as other religious people?
I do not ask that you respect religion, but we need to respect the religious, because they are rational humans just like us atheists. I was rational when I was a Christian. I believed because of indoctrination, not lack of intelligence.

Took a mental health day from work. I needed it. Woke up with anxiety at a 19 on a scale from 1-10.

Spent over an hour trying to get Starship Troopers Blu-ray I bought the other day to play. Adding FAT32 flash drive with at least 1 gig of memory got it to work. Maybe when I’m done with that, I’ll try and see if the Crank 2 Blu-Ray that I bought years ago will actually fucking play, because it had the same fucking problem.

Amazon is getting to know me too well. For a long time it would alert me to deals I didn't care about. But the last two, a carving knife and a candy thermometer, I couldn't resist.
