You can see by the drawings how happier kids used to be before Catholic priests could rape them.
I'd bet money on the religious authorities raping kids back then, too.  Dodgy  And when they are traumatized, claim the kids are possessed by demons.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Roman gold snake bracelet found on the arm of a woman who was killed by Mount Vesuvius’ eruption in 79 CE, inscribed on the inside is: 'DOMINVS SVAE ANCILLAE' which means "From a master to his slave girl."

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

If you've found something like this, would you give it to a museum or would you keep it?

I subscribe to ARCHAEOLOGY. I don't remember that article. I'll have to get that back issue down from my library.  Read

The most direct use of the Bible.

A gun hidden within a Bible was made for Francesco Morozini, Doge of Venice (1619-1694). The owner of the Bible could pull the silk bookmark to shoot while the book was still closed.

3400 Year Old City Emerges From The Tigris River

Quote:A team of German and Kurdish archaeologists have uncovered a 3400-year-old Mittani Empire-era city once located on the Tigris River. The settlement emerged from the waters of the Mosul reservoir early this year as water levels fell rapidly due to extreme drought in Iraq. The extensive city with a palace and several large buildings could be ancient Zakhiku – believed to have been an important center in the Mittani Empire (ca. 1550-1350 BC).

Under Italian law, the finder of any artifact more than 50 years old that has ‘artistic value’ must turn it over to the proper authorities. The finder and the own of the land are entitled to a reward figured as a percentage of what the market price would be. Failure to hand it is makes you subject to hefty finds and prison sentences.

So, yeah, I’d hand it in.
