A common complaint among freelancers who publish online is that most paying sites are based in the U.S. and do not accept writers outside of the U.S., based on tax reasons. At any rate, for those of you in the U.K. who need money and can write, Textbroker has a new writing website for U.K. English writers. The pay can be really good at the top of the pay tier, a little extra cash at the lower end. I only write for the U.S. version, so I cannot tell you exactly what the pay rates are. The articles are sometimes technical articles for all of you computer geeks and there are also more general articles for those of you who just have some general knowledge or can research well. If you can write fast, you can make a decent amount of money from them. Don't quit your dayjob, though, unless you have a bunch of other writing clients.

It's been a while since I started writing there. I can't recall if you need a resume. If anyone needs help with the writing aspect of the resume, let me know.

Some websites pay for good quality scenery pictures. I probably wouldn't be to good in writing articles.

You mean too good. Well, I do hope someone gets something out of it. There is so little opportunity for UK writers online, so I thought maybe if someone was in a particularly bad way and needed a method of making a little extra cash, this would come in handy. If anyone needs help, let me know. The format should be identical to the US site.

Haha, use a good grammar checker if you want to be lazy, but double check once. Grammar checkers leave some weird mistakes and make even weirder corrections sometimes.

Absolutely agreed. However, I have mine set to pick up some specific client needs and I can change it to suit the client. I use it for very few grammar rules and only ones that change from regular client to regular client. For example, I have one client who is an absolute nut about passive voice. I often find myself having to write in the passive voice because I write mainly history articles. I don't want to be one of those twats who writes about history as if it is happening. "Samuel Adams then signs the Declaration of Independence." sounds fucking stupid. "He was a signer of . . . " or "He signed the . . . " sounds better. So, I am used to it. When I write for the crazy client who needs active voice all the time, no matter the topic, I use my grammar checker to pick up instances I might have missed, especially if I am close to deadline and have been writing for far too long that day.
