Just a quick correction to one of the videos. The guy (not Cenk) in the video about drugs said the Australian national was carrying 0.4 grams of heroin and that it was "clearly to use and give to their friends". They were in fact carrying 396.2 grams of heroin [1] and they were carrying it (by their own admission) to pay off debts. Cenk corrected this slightly later when he said it was 0.4 killograms, but he didn't correct the bit about this being a case of actual drug trafficking, as opposed to it being for personal use.
That said, it was still an appalling sentence, and another reminder of why the war on drugs continues to fail.

It wasnt so much the drug, or the amount, but it was the penalty that this video was about.
Drugs do not deserve the death penalty.

Well, 5th, I'm actually going to disagree slightly - there are plenty of ignorant democrats as well. But I don't think this country has any more ignorance running through the population than other countries - I think we just have a lot of arrogance. Comes from being told we're the best and hyping ourselves up to be. Add a religious element and you've got a messiah complex that spans the entire globe. That's America's problem. And our ignorance gets televised a lot more. Our politicians allow themselves to get caught on camera saying the dumbest fucking things, and expect the rest of the world to bend over and take it because fuck...we're the US of A.
That said, no way is Newt becoming the next president. Still, I will be getting the fuck out of here if a couple others DO.

I would say there are plenty of other countries where their populations are unaware of the customs, etc of outside places - and perhaps you just hear us more because we've free access to the net.
