Why Trump will win in 2024.
RE: Why Trump will win in 2024.
Published this morning:

Quote:The rising animosity between pro-Trump and anti-Trump forces is creating the prospect of something no Republican wants: a GOP civil war that could split the party in two and leave the path clear for Democrats to win big in 2024.

The fear is that two years of infighting won’t just put the White House at risk. Republicans worry it could also hand Democrats the House and Senate and at least two more years of united control over Washington.

Former Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) raised that possibility last week, saying his “greatest fear” involves the possibility of a repeat of 1964, when the party split between Barry Goldwater and Nelson Rockefeller.

“I can imagine a Trump-anti-Trump war over the next two years that just guarantees Biden’s re-election in a landslide and guarantees that Democrats control everything,” Gingrich told The New York Times.

Trump didn't get the support he wanted or expected so I wouldn't be surprised if his plan isn't to sink the GOP. I think even his dumb ass knows he won't be reelected. The hardcore Trumpies aren't going to vote against him. The rest of the GOP is wondering which way to go. Their desperation has been showing more and more. The GOP is going to defeat itself if they don't come up with a plan pretty quickly.

Other than Nature intervening, of course.

He's not the only Republican worried about this.

In other news, a new USA Today poll has DeSantis up 23% over Trump among Republicans. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/37...-new-poll/

Newt has made at least one valid point: Republicans are going to need to attract more Gen Z voters if they want to stop the bleeding. One thing they’ll need to do to achieve this is stop calling Biden a ‘socialist’, for two reasons:

1. He isn’t.

2. Gen Z, unlike older demographics, don’t have an adverse knee-jerk reaction to the word. Just the opposite - it might actually make Biden and other Democrats even more appealing to younger voters.

Whether Republican candidates can stop, though, remains doubtful.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I don't see Trump winning, or even running...hopefully. I think he's too busy with all of his legal issues to run, and honestly, he shouldn't be allowed to run if he has all these legal problems. If you're under investigation by the IRS especially, you shouldn't be allowed to run for POTUS.

He'll run. Dropping out would involve too much public humiliation and certain jail.
